What Is Saint James Youth Ministry
We are a comprehensive youth ministry that is proud to be part of the Life Teen family. We utilize the tools of this age to be able to meet teens where they are at, and lead them closer to Christ.Everything we do is by God's grace and for His glory.

Timeliness
Please arrive to all gatherings at least a few minutes before the start time. It is important to start on time, so that we end on time.
Parking
Teen Drivers: Please park your vehicles in the Family Center Parking Lot. It is a well lit in the evenings, and safer because of adult supervision. The Parish Hall Parking lot is no longer as safe as it once was because of the new foot bridge behind the Parish Hall.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Drop-Off and Pick-Up is on Convent Street between the Parish Family Center and the Parish Hall. Please do not park in front of the Church or Pastoral Center, there is not adult supervision in that area of the campus. We have outlined a flow of traffic for use at any event on the St. James Campus.
Please refer to the "Traffic Flow Map" on page 3.

Weekly Snacks
Please note your turn to bring snacks on the Snack Schedule. Every semester we send a Snack Schedule home via flock note and hard copy. We all take turns at providing snacks once a semester. If you are unable to, we ask that you reach out to another family to switch. Thank you for feeding our youth, they often come rushing from school and sports and depend on the snack we provide.
Mass Attendance
The Eucharist is the "source and summit of our Christian Life" CCC#1324, we ask that all members attend Sunday Liturgy, and Holy Days of Obligation.
Mass times at St. James are:
Saturday Vigil- 5:00 P.M.
Sunday- 8:00 A.M., 10:00 A.M., and 12:00 P.M.
Holy Days of Obligation

Sacramental Life
Just as the Eucharist, Reconciliation is an essential part of our Christian Life. We celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation during lent during Life Teen to prepare for the Easter Season. However, please note that Weekly Reconciliation is celebrated at 4:15 P.M. in the Church before the Vigil Mass at 5:00 P.M.
Prayer
We teach all our youth that prayer is essential to the Christian life of all Catholics. We ask you to please work on memorizing prayers as outlined per age group and to daily pray as a family.Prayer packets are provided per age group.
Christian Service
One of the ways we live out the "Goals of Youth Ministry" is through service. In both Confirmation I and II, teens perform 25 Hours of Christian Service. They are as follows:

- 10 Hours of Service to the Community

"You have been told, O mortal, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you:
Only to do justice and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God."
