Chi Angeles Rescue Chihuahua Adoptions
What is Chi Angeles Rescue?
Chi Angeles Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 Non-Profit Rescue Organization working to rescue Chihuahuas out of theLos Angeles, California high-kill shelters.
We transport all of our rescues throughout the United States and Canada for a small transport fee in order to get as many Chihuahuas as possible adopted into safe, loving homes.
We also provide a Seniors-for-Seniors program where we pair senior citizens with older Chihuahuas who desperately need a home. All of our Chihuahuas come already spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with first shots, and are completely free. After adoption, the senior citizen is responsible for the complete care of the Chihuahua. /
Who We Are
About Us
In April 2014, Janel J. Faraci and Panadda Davenport met online after they both contributed funds to save a couple of Chihuahuas who had been sitting in a Los Angeles City high-kill shelter for a horrendously extended period of time. This coincidental partnership soon revealed the bitter realities of the Los Angeles City Shelter Red List, a list that catalogs the animals that are scheduled for euthanasia. Janel and Panadda quickly noticed that Chihuahuas and Pit Bulls sadly appeared on the list more than any other breed. In fact, they saw a disturbing pattern of 25-50 Chihuahuas in danger of being euthanized in any 24 hour period EVERY DAY!
Janel and Panaddadid everything possible to rescue the Chihuahuas and rehome them. However, the sheer multitudes were overwhelming. They needed help. As a result, Chi Angeles Rescue was born.

Advantages of Getting Your Pet
From a Shelter
You save a life, or two. Every year, hundreds of animals die from abusive owners, puppy mills, and irresponsible owners. Some are lucky enough to end up in a shelter. These shelters can only hold a limited number of animals. By fostering or adopting a shelter animal, you not only give a pet a new home, but you also save another animal's life by opening up a space in the shelter. The adoption fee that comes with your pet supports animal rescue, food, vaccinations and other things that the shelter needs.
Since all shelter animals are NOT strays, you could end up with a loving companion who was a previously-owned pet. Most pets in the shelter are previously-owned, and due to unavoidable circumstances, their pet parents have to give them up. Most of these previously-owned pets are trained, but might need to be re-trained at their new home. Shelters have the animals’ information so new owners know how to treat their new pets!
