Volunteer Role: Events Team Member
Events Volunteers help our staff at bucket collections and community events to increase awareness and raise money
for the charity.
Donations fund extra medical equipment and facilities for St George’s Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital and make a vital difference to the lives of patients under their care.
What does the role involve?
- Helpingstaff run information stalls at community events, markets, and fun days
- Assisting with bucket collections at events like football matches or concerts
at The Royal Albert Hall - Cheeringon our fundraisers during the British 10k, London & Brighton marathons, and Ride London
- Giving us a hand with our own charity events such our abseil every September
When can I volunteer?
Events take place during weekdays and weekends throughout the year. Depending on what’s happening they might last for a morning, afternoon, evening, or a whole day. Volunteers are told of any upcoming events and can choose which ones they want to do.
Where do events take place?
In and around the South West London area in places such as Tooting, Battersea, Wandsworth and Sutton. Cheering on fundraisers happens at events in central London, and in Brighton for the
marathon there.
Who can do this role?
We are looking for warm, friendly, outgoing people who would loveto talk about our work with members of the public. We need people who are reliable, and can provide a positive
image for the charity.For most events volunteers must be over 18, but some events are open to volunteers aged 16 and up.
