What Cool Prizes Will Students Earn for Raising Money

When: Friday, October 10th Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Grades from 8:45 AM – 11:05 AM

4th, 5th Grades from 1:10 PM – 3:45 PM

Your child is welcome to bring some of their favorite books, a blanket, pillow and even a small stuffed animal to read to.

How: Our school goal is for EACH student to collect at least $10.00 in pledges for their time reading. We have 455 students at Meeker. If each student can collect $10 in pledges, that will raise $4550.00 for PBIS, which funds student rewards, assemblies, attendance awards, field trip scholarships, and many other things.

When is the Pledge Money Due: All pledge money raised will be collected on Friday, October 10thby the student’s homeroom teacher.

What Cool Prizes Will Students Earn for Raising Money:

Students that raise funds and turn them into the office will join us in a TCBY party on October 16th.

The student who collects the most pledged dollars in each grade level will win:

Kindergarten- Scooter3rd Gr-Gift Certificate to the Movies

1st Gr-Scooter4th Gr – Gift Certificate to the Movies

2nd Gr-Scooter5th Gr – Gift Certificate to the Movies

All prizes are donated by MSA (Meeker School Association) our parent group

Last year our Read-a-thon brought in $1632.00. We would love to bring in $2500.00 this year. If we can attain that goal EVERY STUDENT will receive a 15 minute recess and a popcorn party!

Where Does the Money Collected Go? We are very excited to have the opportunity to sponsor a fund raiser at our school just for what welove to do –READ! This fund raiser not only gives students the opportunity to read, but also allows our school to keep 100% of the money raised for PBIS activities.

All money collected will be used to pay for student field trips, PBIS rewards and assemblies, student attendance awards, Family Movie Nights, and any other student needs.

Please consider sponsoring your child for the Read-A-Thon. To sponsor your child, please fill out the form below, pledging a flat donation for the reading your child will do during their block of time. Return the bottom form, along with the cash donation to your child’s teacher by October 10th. If you prefer you can also make a donation online at pick Elementary Schools, Meeker, Read-a-Thon.
