This is a Non-Sanctioned Event. Results will not be submitted to any agility Club/organization. AAC type courses will be offered and run at AAC jump Heights

This event will be is open to all dogs being at least 12 months of age, pure breed or mixed breed, except bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity or illness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance.

Dogs do not require an AAC number to entries this event. We are requesting that numbers be provided for dogs who have an AAC number but results will not be submitted to AAC. An application form for dog ID cards is available here: .

Obstacles shall be chosen from those described in the current edition of the Rules and Regulations of the AAC and shall conform to AAC specifications.

Food and toys or any other aids or devices shall be permitted on the course, However we request that these be in good condition as used in a manner that will not affect other dogs participating in the Mock Trial.

Please take responsibility for your dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may be asked to leave the Mock Trial grounds and no refund of fees shall be given.

All dogs must be penned, crated or attended on leash when not in the ring. All dogs must be under control when exiting the ring. Any dog engaging in aggressive or out of control behavior may upon exit of the ring be disqualified and/or required to leave the trial grounds and no refund of fees shall be given.

Anyone disrupting theMock Trial due to poor sportsmanship or abusive behavior will be dismissed from the trial and no fees will be refunded. Remember that this sport should be fun for the dogs, competitors, spectators, judges and volunteers.

LIMITED ENTRIES RULES

  • Northside Agility Club reserves the right to refuse any entry.
  • Anyone not in good standing Northside Agility Club will not be allowed entry.
  • We are planning for approximately 90 runs.
  • Only mailed or emailed entries will be accepted.
  • Entries must be postmarked between November 28, 2016 and up to and including December 28, 2016.
  • Entry acceptance is not solely based on postmark/email date.

PAYMENT AND REFUNDS

  • Cheques are to be made out to the Northside Agility Club and dated not later than the event date.
  • There will be a charge on NSF cheques.

HEIGHT CATEGORIES AND JUMP HEIGHTS

AAC Jump Heights will be offered. Handlers are welcome to enter dogs at any height they prefer. The table below outlines AAC Jump Heights. Dogs do not require measuring to participate in this event, however on request we will off “unofficial” measuring of dogs.

AGILITY CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Regular Division

Open to all dogs, 18 months of age or older, as described within the current AAC rules

Special Division

Open to all dogs but intended for dogs, which are of a size or stature, which limits their jumping ability. Handlers running a dog in Specials will have the option to move into Regular classes once during the dog's career. Such a switch will require the handler to notify the AAC via the appropriate Regional Director (a form will be developed and available on the AAC web site), but will not require application or approval. A switch from Specials to Regular cannot be made mid-trial.

Veteran Division

For dogs seven years of age or older that are currently competing in any Standard Agility Class and for dogs five years of age or older which have competed in the Special Division for a minimum of one calendar year.

As of January 1, 2016, double drop veterans will be scored separately from single drop veterans.

FEO (For Exhibition – or Experience or Entertainment – Only) Open to all dogs, 18 months of age or older with an AAC ID #, as described within the current AAC rules. The handler can choose to enter a dog FEO in any division, any class and/or any height but they will not be competing for placements, titles or prizes and the results will not be reflected on the dog’s permanent record.

As this is a non-sanctioned event placement, qualifying and title ribbons will not be awarded

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION

There will be a volunteer sheet where you can sign up for your preferred jobs. There will be a draw for volunteer prizes.

From Highway 2 go west at exit 275 highway 566 to Balzac and go 6 km to RR14 then turn right

on RR14 and go north 2km. Silver arena on the right hand side of the road.

There will not be an onsite concession.
