Westside Warriors Football.

Mission Statement

The Westside Warriors Football & Cheer. (WWF&C) is a non-profit organization, devoted solely to the provisions of opportunity for youth in the Antelope Valleycommunity to participate in Football and Cheer.Through this sport,we will instill critical life skills such as integrity, self-control and good sportsmanship.WWF&C will properly have equipped all participants, and will follow the rules and regulations set forth by the conference of WWF&C Choice.

SECTION 1 OBJECTIVES

The purpose of this organizationis to provide supervised programsfor Footballand Cheerleading, which will build character and inspire the ideals of good citizenship and sportsmanship to each youth participating, through a common interest of fair play and working as a team to ensure the safety and welfare of the Youth.

SECTION 2 MEMBERSHIP

The membership of our organization shall be comprised of any person directly involved, affiliated of (WWF&C). Area boundaries are open to all of our surrounding community.All athletes and parents can participate in (WWF&C) Programs.

  1. Head Coaches: This position requires a responsible volunteer to be active in all duties delegated to them by the board as deemed necessary in addition to holding a responsible “Head Coaching” position. The Head Coach shall pick his assistant coaches, who must be “Board” approved (In Person at a WWF&C Meeting) after signing a agreement of Coaching rules and procedures set forth by WWF&C Head Coaches shall be responsible for the collection and return of all WWF&C Team and athletes equipment, i.e.: Footballs, Kicking Tee’s, Water Bottles, Helmets, Pads, Uniformsetc…Head Coach shall coordinate with WWF&C equipment manager and participate in the Team player equipment event, distribution and or collection.. All head coaches must be USA certified. All head coaches must take a background check with WW Inc and with the conference of WW Inc Choice. Total of fees are 15.00. All head coaches are expected to be well groomed and have purchase full uniform. (Hat or visor, Jacket, Polo’s black shoes and black shorts or pants) at own cost. WWF&C is not responsible for providing uniforms to coaches.
  2. ALL COACHES, STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS: Will be subjected to a drug test at the time of application.The acceptance must adhere to this condition to participate in or on the westside warriors board of director. This will be included on a Volunteer application and a Code of Conduct Agreement Form. WWF&Cwill absorb the cost of the drug test.In addition,a certified Medical Professional as designated by WWInc will perform a drug test. All appropriate chain of custody regulations will be observed, and only the President and Commissioner of the WWInc will know test results. Refusal to participate may be cause for punitive action from the league, to include dismissal of position. All coaches must be USA certified. ALL COACHES, STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS must submit to a background check with WW Inc and withthe conference of it choice.Total of fees are 15.00. All coaches, Staff and Volunteers are expected to be well groomed and have purchase full uniform. (Hat or visor, Jacket, Polo’s black shoes and black shorts or pants) at own cost. WWF&C is not responsible to provide any such uniforms to coaches and or Staff, Volunteers. All other sports will be subjected to their own bylaws.

SECTION 3 ADMINSTRATION

  1. The WWInc President shall bethe direct administration and control all of the Westside Board of Directors, who shall establish all policies and regulations, receive, administer, and expand all funds establish and regulate all schedules in accordance with the conference of their choiceand supervise the entire Sports programs.
  2. The President will be on all boards (Football & Cheer, Softball, Lacrosse,Basketball, Golf and Soccer) He/she will administrate all the boards. The WWInc Board of Director shall consist of the President, Vice President, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Treasurer, Secretary, Chapter General Manager, Equipment Manager, Equipment Assistant, Cheerleader Coordinator, Facility Manager, Snack Bar Manager, Assistant Snack Bar, Field Coordinator, Fund Raiser Coordinator, Team Parent Coordinator, Sponsor Director, Sport Medicine Coordinator, Apparel Coordinator, Assistant Apparel Coordinator and Immediate Past President elected and voted upon by members of the WW Inc as a whole, at a regularly held and publicized general meeting of the WWInc. Each Board Member shall have one vote. No additional nominees shall be elected to the Board of Directors without being present or having presented a letter of acceptance at the nomination or instillationmeeting. All Volunteers /Board Members must be present to be elected. All Positions will be appointed by the president an elected upon by the board, unless a special consideration may arise when the President may appoint a Board Member or remove a Board Member from Cabinet. The president my remove any board member of his boardduties at any time, for any reason.
  3. The Terms of the Office of the Board of Directors shall be from the day appointed or voted to the board to November 1stof every year. If no one wants to run for that position on the board. The board member including the President may remain on the board, with approval from the President. The term of every Board member runs out on November 1st. The immediate past President, shall serve on the incoming Board in an advisory capacity only and shall have a vote on Board actions.
  4. A member of the WWF&C shall be appointed by the President or the Board of Directors to replace a Board Member not able to fulfill his/her term of office. If the nomination is approved, the newly appointed Board Member becomes a voting member with all rights and privileges afforded the position. Any Member Missing 2 or more events consecutively can be removed from their position. By President or any other Board member. All changes in rules, all technical interpretation of rules or policy changes, and all approval of equipment for use in the WWInc shall be the responsibility of the President. Any changes in rules, policy changes, or equipment shall be deemed in effect when announced at a general meeting and becomes a matter of record in the minutes of said meeting. These changes in rules and policies are subject to the conference of its choice, and all Westside Warriors Boards and may be amended by the President and/or majority vote of the entire Board of Directors. When the need arises to establish a quorum (3 members and 1 non -voting member) outside normally announced general meetings, a good faith effort must be made to contact each member either in person or telephonically.
  5. Any changes in these By-Laws shall be submitted to the Board or By-Laws Committee for recommendations and suggestions. The President is allowed to amend and change the rules all year. The board of director can only change or make amendments once a year with approval by the President.
  6. All WWINCBoard meetings will be governed in accordance with Roberts’s Rules of Order. A simple Majority of Board Members must be present for an official meeting to be recorded. A quorum can be established telephonically and a vote received from board members when an urgent need for decision arises. When the need arises to establish a quorum outside normally announced General Meeting. A good faith effort must be made to contact each member either in person to telephonically.
  7. No Teams, Cheerleading Squad, Parents and or any Coaches OfWWIncwill be allowed to use any portion of proprietary Names, Logos, Hold Practice, Practice games (WWInc) or conduct their own fund-raisers, or collect private donations, or dealing with any branding of the logo or the premise of WW Inc’s logo without WWIncPresident’s approval.
  8. Definitions:
  1. Executive Membership Meeting. Board Members only,this meeting is close to the general Public. (Note item one is normally the first hour of the Scheduled monthly meetings).
  2. General Membership Meeting: An advertised Board Meeting open to the General Public. (Quarterly meeting will be advertised)
  1. IF any WWInc, Board Member, Coachand Volunteer of any type: receives a fine/and or Punishment fromthe conference of their choice or any Westside Warrior Board; the subject person may be removed as a Volunteer and held liable/responsible for the cost of the fine incurred.
  2. All WWIncVolunteers must attend a WWF&CMeeting and be “Board Approved” TeamMoms, Cheer Team Moms, Team Athletic Director, Team Statistician, Team Helpers, Volunteers Medical Personnel, etc. AllWWInc Volunteers have the right to attend any WWinc General Membership Meeting,
  3. All Volunteers maybe appointed and/or removed by the president of WWF&C INC.

SECTION 4 BOARD OF DIRECTOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

  1. PRESIDENT:The WWInc President shall be the direct administration and control of all Westside Board of Directors, who shall establish all policies and regulations, receive, administer, and expand all funds establish and regulate all schedules in accordance with the conference that WW Inc has a contract withand supervise the entire programs. He or she shall preside over all Board Meetings and represent the chapter at the Conference meetings. This person shall be responsible for the attendance and performance of all Conference Committee Members of his Chapter, shall administer the rules of the Conference that is currently under contract with and the WWInc By-Laws to the members of his chapter, and shall investigate any complaints brought before the board. A report of any investigation shall be given to the board for any action deemed necessary. This position has the right to appoint and/or dismiss any or all position on or off the board. He/she shall have a vote only in case of a tie. The chapter President shall have demonstrated past Head Coaching experience and can hold two volunteer positions. Coaching and or any other position on or off the field.
  1. VICE PRESIDENT: Will act for the President in his/her absence and will assume duties Delegated to him/her by the President, and will automatically succeed the President if for any reason the President leaves the office before serving a full term. The Vice President will assist with all the Committees.This person shall be responsible for the attendance and performance of all Conference Committee Members of his/her Chapter, shall administer the rules of the conference that is under contract and the WWInc By-Laws to the members of his chapter, and shall investigate any complaints brought before the board.Shall be reasonable to attend all conference meeting with the president. He or She will automatically be on the Executive Board and have a voting right. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. COMMISSIONER: Shall administer the rules of conduct for the Football Program as per the By-Laws of this Chapter and the Conference. This person shall be responsible for attending all conference meeting with the President and Vice President. He or she shall also administrate all Conference Committee Members of his Chapter. He or she must administer the rules of the Conference and the WWInc By-Laws to the members of his chapter, and shall investigate any complaints brought before the board. Has overall responsibility for the conduct of the coaches, players team Athletic Director’s and all Volunteers involved with the playing of football. The Commissioner shall investigate any and all complaints from coaches, parents, and players and teamAthletic Director’s, team coordinator. Commissioner will report directly to the President and the WWIncBoard, on all matters. If the Commissioner is a coach and there is a complaint towards him, the WWIncBoard will resolve the issue. He or She will automatically be on the Executive Board and have a voting right. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. DEPUTY COMMISSIONER: Shall assist The Commissioner to administer the rules of conduct for the Football Program as per the By Laws of this Chapter and theConference. If the Deputy Commissioner is a coach and there is a complaint towards him, the WWInc Board will resolve the issue. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. TREASURER: Shall receive all Monies that accrue to the chapter from any source and deposit and keep accurate records, in the name of WWInc, and generate a report for review at each meeting. This person shall see that all authorized bills are paid and that no unauthorized obligations are incurred. If any member collects money in behalf of the WWIncchapter, that member shall present the exact amount to the treasurer within 48 hours or sooner. The Treasurer shall be involved in the Budget Committee, with President and Vice President. He or She will automatically be on the Executive Board and have a voting right.He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. SECRETARY: Shall keep the minutes of each board meeting (documentation) notify each board member of any meeting by phone or mail. The minutes can also be presented at the next scheduled meeting. This person will keep names, (information) of board members and committee members. He or She will automatically be on the Executive Board and have a voting right. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. CHAPTER ATHLETIC DIRECTOR: Shall be responsible for the conduct and activities of each Teams AD (i.e. 5 Teams/5 Team AD) and shall be responsible for the strict adherence to the Conference and the WWinc rules, regarding home team requirements, and equipment weight allowances. The Chapter AD and each Team AD shall handle all insurance matters and maintain complete and accurate files. He or She will automatically be on the Executive Board and have a voting right. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. Cheer/TeamAD: Shall be responsible for the conduct and activities of each Team. Cheer/Team Chapter AD’s shall be responsible for the strict adherence to the Conference and the WWInc rules, regarding home team requirements, and equipment weight allowances. The Cheer/Team Chapter AD’sand each Team AD’s shall handle all insurance matters and maintain complete and accurate files.He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. EQUIPMENT MANAGER: Shall be responsible for the selection and replacement of player equipment, field equipment and supplies and work closely with the Board in managing the entire WWIncequipment program. This person shall submit no fewer than two bids for all recommended equipment purchases, maintenance certification and provide detailed accountability of the WWIncproperty. The Equipment Manager shall work closely with all Head Coaches for inventory, cleanliness, inspection and storage of all equipment loaned to each team for the football Season A 100% Inventory will be conducted at the end of each season, and generate a detailed discrepancy list, if necessary. The Equipment Manager Will Direct/Supervise any Equipment Assistants to help wherever/whenever needed.He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. EOUIPMENT ASSISTANT: The Equipment Manager has the option of nominating for appointment, an Equipment Assistant to fulfill his/her duties. The equipment Assistant will help when necessary on WWInc Equipment property. The assistant must work closely with the Equipment Manager who will provide direction. The current board of directors must approve the nominee for the position of Equipment Assistant. If the nomination is approved the new Equipment Assistant becomes a voting board member with all rights and privileges afforded the position. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. CHEERDIRECTOR: Shall be responsible for the conduct and activities of each Team Cheerleader Person and Team Coordinator. Shall investigate any problems and complaints about Cheerleading and if needed report to the Board. They will be responsible for all Cheerleaders Registration, which must conform to the Conference Rules. This person will provide a report, on how best to suit up all cheerleaders, Fees applicable for participation (Buy, Loan etc.)He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. FACILITY MANAGER:Shall be responsible for the conduct and activities of each Team and Coordinator all game time setups. He or she will help obtain practice and game fields. He or she will make sure the practice and game field is clean and prep before and after. Shall investigate any problems and complaints about field and if needed report to the Board. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. SNACK BAR MANAGER: Shall be responsible for purchasing supplies, staffing the snack bar for home games and other functions where a snack bar would be needed and/or suggested. All income will be reported as soon as possible. This person shall give direction to the Snack Bar Assistant and ask for assistance from all board members and helpful parents as needed.He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. SNACK BAR ASSISTANT: The Snack Bar Manager has the option of nominating for appointment, a Snack bar Assistant to help fulfill his/her duties. The assistant must work closely with the Snack Bar Manager who will provide Direction. The current board of directors must approve the nominee for the position of Snack Bar Assistant. If the nomination is approved the new Snack Bar Assistant becomes a voting board member with all rights and privileges afforded the position.He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. FIELD COORDINATOR: Shall be responsible for field safety and maintenance. Duties include, but are not limited to preparing game field for play. Setting up related field equipment including score board, goal post pads, yard line markers, down marker and chain set, crowd control delineators with yellow tape, etc. Shall be responsible for WWINC facility requirements, buildings, all fields and sites. Excellent communication skills are helpful when working with Palmdale High School. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. FUNDRAISER COORDINATOR: Shall be responsible for fundraising programsactivities of the WWInc. Fundraiser Coordinator is also responsible for seeking out and booking 6 to 8 events per year. With the sole purpose of rising monies for WWInc expenses. I.e.: Bus trip, Dine Outs, Vendor Booths, Candy Sales, Raffle and not limited to your imagination. This person should ask for assistance from other Board Members if needed. All Fundraising must be presented to the board for approval by February 1st of every year.He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. TEAMPARENT COORDINATOR: Shall manage the picture program, and procure a minimum of 2 bids. Organize picture day for all participants. Shall be responsible for all team parents/snack bar schedules, and hold team parent meeting to discuss team snack schedules. WWInc, does not Provide snacks for players on anygame’s. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. SPONSOR DIRECTOR: Shall obtain donations from anyone wishing to donate to WWInc.Make suggestions regarding cost per advertisement in the annual "Football Program". Sponsorships inWWInc must be board approved. Sponsorship fees shall be established by the Board. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. SPORTS MEDICINE COORDINATOR: Medically trained and CPR Certified.Shall have knowledge of basic sports medicine, concussion, heat exhaustion and first aid, shall attend a training session with Conference prior or during the season.He or she can be remove by the President for any reason
  1. APPAREL COORDINATOR: The Apparel Coordinator has the option of nominating for appointment, an Assistant Apparel Coordinator to help fulfill his/her duties. The assistant must work closely with the Apparel Coordinator who will provide direction. The current board of directors must approve the nominee for the position of Apparel Coordinator Assistant. If the nomination is approved the new Apparel Coordinator Assistant becomes a voting board member with all rights and privileges afforded the position. He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. APPAREL COORDINATOR ASSISTANT: The Apparel Coordinator Assistant will assist the ApparelCoordinator. The Apparel Coordinator Assistant becomes a voting board member with all rights and privileges afforded the position.He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. WEBSITE MANAGER: Shall be responsible for all web base advertising. IE: Facebook, twitter, all social media outlets and our website.If the nomination is approved the new Website Manager becomes a voting board member with all rights and privileges afforded the position. This position is for a two (2) year term.He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
  1. IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT: Shall serve on Board for one full year, if he or she has not completed a full term the position shall not be filled. The position of Immediate Past President is to act as a consultant. The position carries no voting privileges. The position is available starting January 1st immediately following a full term as President, and lasts for only the year immediately following his/her presidency.He or she can be remove by the President for any reason.
