HELD AT GROVE HOUSE ON 30TH MARCH 2011

PRESENT: Councillors –Mrs. Holder (Vice Chairman), Bunn, Darke, Hitchins, Mrs. How, King, Purnell and Mrs. Priestman.

ALSO IN ATTENDANCE: Councillor Ley-Morgan, Samantha Middlemiss (Committee Officer).

495. / To receive Apologies for Absence
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Heard, Havill and Cleland.
496. / To receive Declarations of Interest
Councillors Mrs. Priestman and Purnell both declared personal interests in application 11/P/0337/F.
497. / To approve minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 3RD March 2011
PROPOSED: Councillor Mrs. Priestman
SECONDED: Councillor Bunn
RESOLVED: That the Minutes be confirmed as a true record of the meeting and be signed by the Chairman of that meeting.
498. / To receive reports relating to recent North Somerset Council’s West Area Committee & Planning and Regulatory Committee meetings
A Councillor informed the last West Area Committee Meeting had been cancelled.
499. / To receive notification of Disabled Parking Bays Applications
There were no applications received.
500. / Matters for Consideration
a) Proposed renaming of section of road (Uphill Road South) reference SNN 2233A
Councillor Ley-Morgan addressed the Committee as ward Councillor for the area and proposed two road names of Tutton Way and Kyfton Close.
The Committee Officer informed that correspondence received from North Somerset Council advised that ‘Tutton Way’ was already a road name used in Clevedon and therefore, should not be chosen to avoid confusion and duplication.
Councillor Mrs. How joined the meeting at 7.05 p.m.

RESOLVED: That the road name Kyfton Close, be put forward to North Somerset Council.

RESOLVED: Noted

RESOLVED: Noted.
502. / Planning Applications and Other Planning Matters Submitted to the Town Council for Consideration
The Committee considered applications in respect of the weekly lists for 7th, 14th & 21st March 2011.
RESOLVED: The comments contained in Appendix A be forwarded to North Somerset Council.
There being no further business the Chairman closed the meeting at 7.30 p.m.
