2017JUNIOR WARRIOR PROGRAMME
The West Coast Netball Region is pleased to offer talented young athletes from both Wanneroo Districts and Joondalup Netball Associations the opportunity to participate in a skills-based development program. This culminates in the Cadet Cup Carnival on the weekend 6th-8th October 2017.
Eligibility: To participate athletes must be registered to play at either Wanneroo Districts or Joondalup Netball Associations in 2017. Age:12 or 13 years of age by the 31 December 2017.
Trial attendance: All athletes trialing for Junior Warriors, including those injured are expected to attend both trials. If you are unable to participate in the trial process due to injury or illness, a medical certificate is required for you to be considered for final team selection.All athletes are asked to arrive at the training venue 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the session.
Injuries/Illness: Injuries/illness sustained during the training sessions or outside of the training session must be reported to the Program Coordinator as soon as possible; an injury treatment strategy can then be discussed. Any athlete who is receiving medical treatment will require a clearance from a qualified Medical Practitioner before re-commencing training (Duty of Care).
Photography: Athletes’ names and images may be used for promotional purposes. Please advise the Region Office as soon as possible if you DO NOT wish your child’s name or photograph to be published/used.
Athletes are reminded that their attitude, enthusiasm and work ethic as well as their ability, will be considered by Selectors throughout the selection process.
Successful athletes selected for Junior Warriors will be notified via the West Coast Netball Region website by the 29th June 2017.
12 & Under: A squad of 30 athletes will be selected. At the end of the program,24 athletes will be invited to attend the Cadet Cup at the State Netball Centre on 7th-8thOctober, 2017.
13 & Under: A squad of 30 athletes will be selected.At the end of the program, 24 athleteswill be invited to attend the Cadet Cup at the State Netball Centre 7th-8th October, 2017.
The Junior Warriors squad will train on Sunday mornings9-11am, commencing 13thAugust, 2017 at the Kingsway Outdoor courts.
Fees: - $95.00 - this includes a training singlet (non refundable)
Cadet Cup Fee - $20 – applicable and invoiced onlyif athlete is invited into the Cadet Cup Squad

Junior Warrior Trials
Age Eligibility:12 to 13 years of age by 31stDecember,2017 (birth years 2004 and 2005).
Trial Dates/Times:Friday 16thth June and 23rd June 2016, 6-9pm – please arrive no later
than 5.45pm to register.
Venue:Kingsway Outdoor Courts, Kingsway Sporting Complex, Madeley.
Trial Forms due:Tuesday, 13th June, 2017, with payment.
Trial Cost: $15.00(non refundable)
Attire:Black sports shorts or netball skirt, plain white t-shirt/singlet.
No Club/Association/Stateidentifying clothing to be worn (including jackets).
Athletes who do no attend in suitable attire will be sent home.
Please ensure hair is tied back, nails are cut short and no jewellery is worn.
What to bring:2 full water bottles labelled with your name and a healthy snack. Suitable
warm clothing to wear in between games and for afterwards.
