JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:

/ Marketing Executive
Position in Organisation / Based at: Devere House, Bradford and all locations utilised by the WNY Chamber
Hours: 35hrs per week plus some out of office hours, as required.
Reporting to: Ruth Shann, Head of Operations
Supervisory responsibilities: 1 Marketing Assistant
1 Graphic Designer 1 part time web designer
Purpose / (Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required
To create, deliver and manage the yearly marketing plan and facilitate marketing campaigns to promote a wide range of chamber services, products, promotions and events and generate new membership leads
To manage the Chamber’s internal and external communications and promotions, marketing and corporate brand that support WNY Chamber.
To increase the Chambers visibility and presence through the development, management and distribution of information and materials to relevant media and Chamber contacts.
To develop and deliver daily communications schedules and digital campaigns including updating and reviewing current email marketing processes, review and research new and existing databases, copywriting and content creation..
To lead on WNYCC's online strategy including website and social media, and champion social media within WNYCC.
To Monitor and report for website content and social media campaigns by using analytics to measure performance, improve conversion rates and make recommendations for change
To proactively promote Chamber news, services, events and membership at all opportunities
Duties: / To produce press releases, promotional text and media responses on behalf of WNY Chamber, arranging quotes, seeking approval from relevant parties and promoting in a timely fashion on our website, internal and external communications and the relevant local and regional media.
Create a segmented budget aligned to strategic objectives and put processes in place to track spend and measure success: report on ROI monthly.
To develop a structured and forward thinking digital activity plan that satisfies and supports the overall marketing and promotional strategy and individual campaign objectives.
To develop a strong relationship with relevant local and regional media contacts and delivery timely and appropriate communications to all media – both online and print.
To be the lead contact for handling all media enquiries and co-ordinating all press and media interviews working closely with the Head of Policy and Representation.
To oversee and manage the Chamber’s copy for publication.
Responsibility for Chamber’s corporate branding and to engage with British Chambers of Commerce when required to ensure standards are maintained.
Oversee the production of flyers, advertisements, videos, case studies, presentations, promotional banners, brochures, letters, emails and outline e-flash/e-bulletin content. QC all in company and public workshop materials and venue/on the day arrangements
Identifying local activity via newspapers, social media etc and utilize it to promote Chamber services, events sponsorship, membership and patronage.
Undertake relevant market research including competitor analysis, demographic and economic reviews and local national trends.
Undertake detailed ongoing analysis of campaigns and produce reports to evaluate return on investment using campaign monitoring tools and Google analytics
Maintain good working relationships with internal colleagues and partners, including leading on regular marketing meetings with each team, to maintain clear messages, exploit opportunities and ensure promotion takes place at all levels. To engage with PR representatives, internal and external designers, photographers and print digital media.
To act as webmaster, managing the ongoing development and maintenance of the website.
Produce a quarterly magazine and monthly online magazine and maintain an effective web presence for each brand of the business.
To champion social media within WNYCC, including supporting colleagues on how to use it and managing WNYCC’s group social networks on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
