Pony Club Teams and Pairs including Open

Hurn Bridge, Hurn, Christchurch BH23 6AD (Next to Hurn Airport)
In conjunction with the
West Hants Training Day on Friday 30th March
1 hour slots available for teams, individuals or pairs
The competition will be run under pony club rules as per the 2018 Mounted Games Rule Book
Timings TBC
Entry fee £250 per Senior/Junior Team, £175 per Novice Team, £50 per pair for PC members, £60 for non members.
Training sessions £20 per hour. Bring your own trainer and use the facilities - £10 per hour
Cheques made payable to West Hants Pony Club. Entries will be limited.

Information
· You are all very welcomed to camp in the Park and coral your ponies from the Thursday/Friday evening (sorry no stabling available).
· Please keep the venue tidy. Your rubbish must be taken home with you, there are no skips on site
· Please provide two named line stewards and one named arena party person for each team entered and one named steward and one named Arena Party per pair. 5 points will be deducted from any team who does not provide arena party or stewards.
· Novice Teams – Lead reins are welcome in the novice section. Lead reins must be attached to the noseband only and riders assisted not “dragged”.
· Open Pairs is available to PC and Non PC members
· Dogs are welcome but must be on leads at all times.
· Vet and Blacksmith on call.
· First Aid Medical cover will be provided
· All judges decisions are final
· Catering will be on site and available throughout the weekend
Tack and Turnout
· All PC teams must have their tack, clothes and hats checked prior to competing. All hats for PC competitors must be tagged. 2018 PPC rules apply.
· Pairs should wear matching tops. Black/Navy jodhpurs are permitted for pairs only
Conditions
· Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
· The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
· All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The West Hampshire Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance will not cover you.
· All classes to be run under Pony Club Mounted Games Rules 2018
Finding Us
Please note the entrance is via the large gate in middle of the showground. We will put a sign to try and highlight the entrance for those that haven’t been before. If you get to the airport you have gone too far. Do NOT use the Hurn Bridge Equestrian Centre Entrance or the gravel track.
When you leave the showground either during or after the competition there is NO RIGHT TURN. You MUST turn left and go around the roundabout to turn right.
Parking
Please park as close to the arena as possible as the other end is used by the caravan club. Lorries should come in the field down the hedge line then drive across the field. This is a request from the showground so please can we ensure this happens.
The gate opens straight onto a busy road. We have arranged for there to be a 2nd gate for safety. Please ensure both gates are closed at all times, when going in and out of the showground please ensure one gate is closed at any one time
Manure & Leftover Hay
There will be a trailer for all manure and leftover hay. This MUST not be used for rubbish
Water
Can be located under the oak tree
Elsan Point
Please use the one marked PC. No waste should be put into the portable toilets on site
