Welcome to the Jungle!!

Explore

ACROSTIC! For each letter in the word Tropical Rainforest, write a piece of information about this biome. Think about the location, climate, vegetation, wildlife, parts of this biome, etc. There are only 3 rules:

  1. Work in pairs or 3s within your “group” at this station. Your acrostics should NOT be identical, but you may work to help each other when you get stuck.
  1. Make sure to include USEFUL information. For example, if you use “Rainfall” for the letter R, be sure to tell how much; if you name an animal, include at least a word or two about what the animal is (Is it a large bird? An amphibian?)
  1. You MUST include the 4 layers of the rainforest somewhere in this acrostic.

Station 2

  1. Choose one desert from the charts on the “hot deserts” or “cold deserts” links on this page, depending on your stick color.
  1. Draw a picture, labeling the things found in your desert OR create a graphic organizer expressing these same topics.

Unroll your quilt and use the website to answer the questions or sill in the information requested. You can write or draw – YOUR CHOICE! (If you draw, please label your drawing.)
