Dear Parents,
Welcome to the first 9 weeks at John Drugan School. It is a pleasure to have you and your child in my classroom.I truly hope you had an enjoyable and restful summer.
Now that we are back in school we are starting the first 9 weeks hitting the ground running. During the first nine weeks we will be covering the following concept areas to include, but not limited to:
Math- * Ordering Integers
* Absolute Value
* Adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying integers.
Science- Science Safety and Procedures
· Elements
Team-Teaching
During this school year, your child will be served by two teachers, and will not be on a traditional schedule. Your child will be served by two teachers, I will teach Math/Science, and Mrs. Aveytia will teach ELAR/Social Studies. Your child will have PE and electives, and we hope that this schedule will benefit the students tremendously.

My classroom website is updated and you will find useful information in what is happening in our class. Website can be found at http://www.sisd.net/Domain/2728. You can always find updated information about scheduled events, and assignments that your child is responsible for. On the website, a bi-monthly newsletter will also be posted with information for parents, during the 1st 9 weeks I will be assigning work from www.ixl.com on a weekly basis for which credit will be given. Your child will be given a username and password for their IXL account, however, if they happen to misplace or forget this information they can ask their teacher and it will be provided to them again.
