Black River Youth Hockey 2017 – 2018 Tournaments!
Our Pee Wee Tournament attracted a lot of interest this year, and we are extremely grateful! The A B Brackets will consist of 6 teams each. This will give us 18 great games of hockey! You will find that we will have a few very full days of hockey.
We expect to have an excellent time and a great weekend of hockey! Please remember we are a ZERO TOLERANCE ASSOCIATION. If any parent/coach engages in heckling, swearing, or creating a disturbance they will be asked to leave the arena and will be barred for the remainder of the tournament. We appreciate the help of everyone in making sure the skaters have the most positive experience possible!
All teams need to report to the arena 1 hour prior to their first game. The team Manager will need to provide:
Ø USA Hockey registration roster (A copy is acceptable.)
Ø 3 – team roster stickers for each game for the score sheets
All games will be played under USA Hockey rules.
Pee Wees: will play the 1st period at 15 minutes of run time & the last 2 periods will be 15 minute stop time.
√ All teams must be prepared to go onto the ice 20 minutes prior to the scheduled game time.
√ When a team is ahead by 6 goals the clock changes to run time except for scores or injuries.
√ Warm-Up: A 5 minute warm-up starts at the designated time whether the team is on the ice or not.
√ Each team is allowed one (1) minute time-out per game.
√ Ice will be resurfaced after every game.
√ If one player has 4 penalties in one game he/she will sit the balance of the game. If the same player has 4 penalties in the 2nd game he/she will not skate the remainder of the tournament.
Scoring: Win – 6 points, TIE – 3, Period win – 1 point, Shut out – 1 point. The maximum total points is 10 points per game. If there is a tie in the total points the following criteria will be used to determine the winner:
Ø Head to Head Competition
Ø Fewest Goals Allowed
Ø Fewest Penalties
Trophies will go to the first and second place teams for both the A & B Brackets.
There will be sucker pull, raffles, full concessions as well as goodie bags for the skaters! Come and enjoy a weekend of hockey in our state of the art arena.
