What are we covering in class?

Dear Parents/guardians and students,

~I am thankful for students who come to class willing to learn new things and take on challenges. Several logic puzzles have been offered in class to the students to work on after their regular work is done. I love watching them tackle new puzzles and games with enthusiasm and grit. Ask your student about the class challenges we have been doing. They may bring them home to share with you if you would like.

~I am thankful for parents/guardians who support their student and me by sending me emails and calling to clarify so that the lines of communication are open and the expectations are easy to follow. Part of my job is to communicate effectively and I appreciate your help.

~I need to address the fact that students need to keep personal electronic devices OFF or COMPLETELY OUT OF THE CLASSROOM. It is a major distraction when a device goes off (especially during an assessment) in class as every student in the room knows the device shouldn’t be on……so, the OHHHH and AHHHHH and pointing fingers at people causes class to be interrupted. Please encourage your student to keep within school policy regarding personal electronic devices which is on page 15 and 16 of the student CODE OF CONDUCT (which is located in the student agenda) that was handed out at the beginning of the year. Thanks for your assistance in this. ;)
