Welcome Players, Parents/Coaches to the inaugural season for the Pembroke Youth Flag Football League (PYFFL)!!!! Thank you for joining and we hope this will be the first of many enjoyable seasons for the Pembroke children. As of the date of this publication we are proud to announce that the league is 220 kids strong and growing!
The league website is and the email is . Our league is affiliated with the NFL who partners with USA Football. That is why you needed to create a USA football account when you registered and are seeing a Bonzi team page invite. Everything can be accessed through our league website, go there first for announcements, team schedules, rosters, standings, FAQ’s, etc.
The league is made up of four divisions and sorted by school grade as of the 2013/14 school year (K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8). All 2013 season games will be played at Pembroke North Elementary (field area next to the parking lot and outdoor basketball court). There are four fields; there is a field map on the website to guide you to the correct field.
Games will be played on Sunday’s; start times are 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 or 2:00. There will be one practice during the week, the coach will pick the day/time and inform the team. The coaches will be reaching out to their players this week for introductions and to schedule the first practice.
Now it’s time to get started! Go to the league website and check out the latest stories posted on the home page. Don’t forget to dress your kids for school in their uniform shirts on Thursday, August 29, 2013 to promote the new league!
After you are caught up with the latest news events click on the division page and find your child’s appropriate division. Once there click on the standings/schedule link to get the season schedule. Quick tip, if you click on your child’s team name then only that teams schedule will appear at the bottom. All schedules are printable. From the division page you can also click on your child’s team link to see what your coach has to say or to check out some photos of your kids in action! We welcome parents to take pictures at games and email the league so that we can post the photos on the team pages.
Please reference the FAQ page on the website and hopefully that addresses most of your questions. If you still haven’t had enough of us then please email us and we will try to answer your questions directly.
Thank you again for joining the league and supporting the cause. Also, thank you very much to all of the parents volunteering to coach teams. There are still some head coaches and/or assistant coaches needed, please email the league if you are interested. There will also be volunteers helping to get the fields ready on Sunday, August 18 from 9:00-3:00, please email the league if you can donate some of your time to help.
