Enrollment- A Pupil Accommodation Review

Announced in news in spring and meeting in June and September and then a public meeting. Board is obligated to undertake when enrollment is low or high. We have Kipling and Scarlett where they can't maintain enrollment.

Richview in 7 years would be over 1200 students.

We currently have 950 and capacity is 873. We added two portables five years ago. Recommendation is that it is advantageous to move kids from Scarlett to Kipling.

Currently the area of Royal York and Eglinton to south east – there would be 6 Buttonwood families coming to Richview. Scarlett will remain open until the 2017-2018 school year.
Increase enrollment of French immersion and extended French only public school has made Richview a destination.

The board will study two northern sites to see if they can have a northern French immersion site.In 2018/2019 would study a southern catchment for French immersion.
Creative timetablingis something that will not happen.
