June 2017

Welcome Fellow Lac Bernard Lake Owners,

The Executive and other volunteers have worked hard on various issues on your behalf and I’ll explainwhat’s been happening under the headings below.

Environment: J.C. Hudonas Environment Chair has been very busy on this issue. We are “this close” for starting our Milfoil elimination project this year. Take a look at: for the latest update.

Security: Rick Soderstrom, along with John Timmins has installed the security signs and cameras at all the private roads around the lake. At the spring meeting the membership noted a significant decrease in break-ins. Way to go Rick and John.

The Clubhouse: Saturday night Bingos starting on July1stat 7:00-8:30 PM. Wear Red and White! We’ll have Canada Day specials and I promise to have everyone home in time for fireworks. Bingos continue every Saturday night until Labour Day, September 2nd. They are hosted by a group of dedicated families. I have replaced the Casino night by a Games night. We’ll try it this year on the Sunday evening of the August long weekend, this is August6th. All Clubhouse events are supervised by parents. If you like to volunteer let me know. It’s a fun family evening for all ages.

Parking is available on site or in the meantime please feel free to access The Clubhouse property by beaching your small boat on the McDonald property at 39 chemin Christopher or you can dock at my place at 23 & 27 chemin Georges Clarke and walk about 10 minutes to The Clubhouse on 30 chemin Christopher.

Donations are welcome for prizes. I will continue to ask for “Save the Clubhouse” funds to build a wharf at the McDonalds property.

Social Activities: You already know through our list serve about the Golf Day on July 15th organized by the Rodier family. Another activity will be the Regatta starting at 12:30 PM on Saturday August 5thth organized by Carrie Aultand her family.

Logo Items: Sue Timmins is responsible for the selling of the logo merchandise items and lake aerial photos. A modest profit is made on each item so it takes each of us to add a little something to their wardrobe or cupboard while supporting the many worthwhile causes on and around the lake. Supporting the overall causes and looking stylish at the same time is a win win!!!Items are available for purchase from Sue at the summer Regatta and Spring & Fall Annual Meetings. Other times of the year you can purchase by contacting Sue at .

Communications: Please watch for the new brochure completed by your executive. Your Road Captain will hand deliver this to you over the summer.

Stay in touch by viewing the web site: and the list serve:.

Summer Activities: Please see the attachedschedule of events.

Quiet Time PLEASE: This isa friendly reminder to all that it would be nice to try and have some quite time without noisy power boats before 11:00 on the lake on Sunday mornings.

Donations: From each and every one of you will be greatly appreciated. Please send in your cheques to the address below or donate through Pay Pal. When making your donation please identify which project: Environment, Security and or The Clubhouse. Thank you very much.

Yours truly,

Gaye E. Moffett,

President
