Job Description:

The Trade Marketing Managers' primary role is to work as a liaison between Sales and Marketing to commercialize brand plans. They are to work as "voice of sales" to the brand teams and the "voice of marketing" to the sales teams and customers. They are responsible, for their assigned brands, to lead the development of all selling materials, plans and programs to enable the sales team, and hold them accountable, to execute company brand strategies and tactics. Additionally, they represent sales in all cross functional meetings & projects relative to their assigned brands. They will additionally be assigned sales specific transversal projects on permanent basis (example: POS development, Cooler Development/management, Shelf Obsession Team support, etc) and on an ad hoc basis where cross-functional involvement is required (example: sustainability projects, customer specific projects, etc),

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

  • Create effective sales strategies and tactics to enable field sales team to execute company/brand strategies.
  • Build strong knowledge base of top retail customers' philosophies, strategies and tactics.
  • Develop key internal partnerships with brand teams, customer teams and Sales Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Lead creation and development of sales merchandising tools for assigned brands.
  • Working with Strategic Sales Planning Director, ensure assigned brands KPIs are tracked, ranked and published on a regular basis.
  • Project Management.

Basic Job Qualifications/Education:

Minimum (Education, Work Experience, and 4 Other Qualifications are required):

  • BA Degree
  • 7-10 years experience in CPG industry
  • 2-5 years of successful key customer management experience in US retail environment
  • Strong Influencing, Communication and Leadership Skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient PC Skills (excel, ppt, etc)
  • Flexibility, adaptability, accepts change as a regular occurrence
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with little supervision
  • Ability to relocate as necessary for future assignments
  • Category Management knowledge
