ALL STUDENTSL Teacher guides students through analysis of select poems. Students read the poem(s) aloud to classmates.

GENERAL students will create an illustration of the “house” setting for the poem “The Writer” with consideration of character placement and key elements mentioned in the poem.
HONORS: Students will begin review of Macbeth ACT 4. Students may listen to audio recording of ACT 4 and follow along in text. Teacher will pass back the graded ACT 4 selection test and go over the answers with students.
Teacher will ask critical thinking questions to assess student understanding and offer correct responses when necessary. / GENERAL: Teacher asks students if they listen to radio programs. Teacher may introduce program suggestions from NPR and allow students to listen to an example.

Teacher asks students to identify why FDR’s speech was broadcast on radio, in relation to the date and availability to citizens.
