Blog: We have a blog set up for our families to answer questions and discuss what we are reading each night. Once you are done with the chapter assigned, go visit our blog and we will share the responses in our classrooms.

Morning Trivia: Each morning, we will have a question based off of the reading the night before. Your child will have the opportunity to submit his or her answer to a classroom container. The teacher will then award a prize to the first correct response picked. We have some great prizes! Get reading!!!

Assignments: As you can see on the calendar, we have assigned various homework assignments to go along with Frindle. You will receive an informational sheet for each of the assignments as they come closer. We would love all students to participate in all of the activities.

Wednesday, May 3—Skype/Facetime Night—Share Chapter 4 with a friend or family member that doesn’t live in the East Hanover community. Our hope is that they will enjoy the book as much as your family does. They may want to even get the book for themselves and see how it ends! J

Tuesday, May 9—Family Photo Night! –We are looking for photographs of your family reading and enjoying Frindle. We will share them at the closing assembly. Please send all photographs to . We will collect photographs until Tuesday, May 16.

Friday, May 12—Dress like your favorite character!

Thursday, May 18—East Hanover Gives Back-- We will be collecting new school supplies for the Salvation Army. All donations will be due on this day.

Friday, May 19—Teacher Letter- Think of one of your teachers who challenged(s) you and from whom you learned a valuable lesson. Write them a letter thanking him/her for what they’ve done for you. Parents may help younger students write the letter.
