Need to call a meeting of the web oversite committee to collaborate on suggested changes.

At the May meeting I was asked to investigate the possibilities of having a listserv devoted only to the financial literacy topi. The board wanted me to see if it was possible for cccsfaaa to host such a listserv through our website solely for this purpose, where virtually anyone can register for without membership and without a profile.

1)A listserv could be set up that anyone could subscribe to – without CCCSFAA membership or a profile. Someone from CCCSFAAA would have to moderate it to approve the subscriptions or you will end up with a lot of spam registrations.

2)The list could be set so that anyone who is subscribed can post to the listserv using their subscribed email address. Or it can be set so that all postings have to be approved by the moderator. It would just depend on how much oversight you wanted on the list.

3)It would cost $125 to set up the list and subscription page. That would be a one-time charge. The list name would be . If you wanted a different domain for this project, that would require some alterations to the plan and some additional fees.

ANOTHER REMINDER: Please post your reports, meeting minutes, etc. on the cccsfaaa website! This includes Regional Rep reports as well as committee chairs. Contact me if you can’t figure out how to do it or you have any problems with access. This is our repository of notes, minutes, history so please do your part!

Done! An email notice is sent to all members of your committee who you have added, or to the folks in your region if you are a regional rep. If you are notified of bad email addresses please follow up with the directors in your region to determine if that person should be removed from their roster or updated, and let me know.
