2017 Local Rules
T-BALL DIVISIONS
LITTLE LEAGUE RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE IN EFFECT WITH THE FOLLOWING MODIFICATIONS: PLEASE READ THE RULE BOOK.
RULES:
1.WLL is a tobacco free facility. Please refrain from using tobacco during practices, and at games.
2.SHOW GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP - REMEMBER OUR CHILDREN ARE LEARNING FROM US.
3.Time limit is set for one (1) hour. When the time limit expires, the remainder of the inning will be completed.
4.Complete roster bats. Batting order will remain as submitted to the opposing manager through the entire game.
5.Players arriving after the start of the game must be placed at the end of the batting order.
6.Each team must have a catcher and play all the players on defensive innings.
7.Safety is No. 1: Catchers must wear protective gear any time a catcher is behind the plate of play (including pitcher warm-ups and taking the infield).
8.All offensive players must wear batting helmets while on the playing field.
9.Adult base coaches only. Two (2) coaches are allowed in outfield during defensive play. Only four(4) adults per team in dugout. At least one (1) adult must remain in the dugout at all times.
10.Only safety balls are to be used.
11.Each batter will be given a maximum of five (5) swings. If the batter hits a foul during the fifth attempt he or she is still at bat.
12.Each player will get a turn at bat in every inning. Teams will switch sides once all players have hit.
13.Tight bases, runners can only advance when the ball is hit.
14.No protests allowed.
15.Play will stop upon the umpire calling time, at the establishment of in field control and stopping the lead runner.
16.No in-field fly rule will be enforced.
17.Score will not be kept on the scoreboard. No standings will be kept.
18.Managers must supply water and rest breaks during practice.
19.Managers must turn in equipment at the end of the last regular season game. The value of the equipment provided is $350.00.
20.The ball must travel a minimum of fifteen (15) feet in fair territory or it will be considered foul.
Duties
- The Home team for the first game of the day ensures bases are in place, the field is
chalked and raked. Chalking the field after each game may be necessary.
- The Visiting team, for the first game of the day, ensures the plastic score tub, with the
scorebook, pitch count book (if needed), the scoreboard controller and first aid kit, is placed in the score booth. Visiting team is also responsible for placing water coolers and cups in each dugout.
- Home team is responsible for keeping the official score book. Visiting team is
responsible for pitch count and score board.
- Both teams must rake the field after each game (around the bases, home plate and
pitcher’s mound). Leave the field how you would want it if you were the next team to play!
- At the completion of the last game of the day, Visiting Team is responsible for returning
the water coolers to the concession stand and the score tub to the garage.
