2018 Softball All Stars Tournament Teams

Bellevue Thunderbird Little League will administer the softball All Star teams fielded jointly by Bellevue Thunderbird Little League, Bellevue East Little League and Bellevue West Little League. In order to be eligible to be selected to a softballAll Stars Tournament Team, this form, signed by the player and parent or legal guardian, must be returned to Bellevue Thunderbird Little League prior to All Star tryouts to be held on June 1, 2018. Please initial the items below, sign the form, and turn it in at All Star tryouts.

_____ We will provide an original government issued birth certificate no later thanJune 3, 2018if our child is selected to an All Stars Tournament Team roster.

_____ Wewill provide three different documents for proof of residency (examples: Driver’s license, utility bills, financial statements, and vehicle records), a valid waiver, or valid School Enrollment Formno later thanJune 3, 2018. (Exception – if my child played All Stars for Thunderbird last year, the league should have the documentation)

_____ We will be responsible for gettingour child to practices and games. We understand that unavailability for practices and/or games during the dates listed below may result in a player’s ineligibility for, or removal from, a team. We understand that All Star teams generally practice five to seven days a week for the period leading up to the tournament, and that games and/or practices can be expected to happen every day during the tournaments.

_____ We understand that tryouts will take place on June 1 and practices will begin as soon as the team rosters are announced. We further understand that a player is expected to be available for practices and games for the full period from announcement of rosters through the end of the District 9 and State tournaments. Dates and locations listed below. All known conflicts with this schedule are written below.

_____ We understand that travel and other expenses may be incurred if the team advances beyond the District 9 tournament. We further understand that we will be financially responsible for all expenses for our player that Bellevue Thunderbird Little League does not pay.

_____ We will make playing for the Bellevue Thunderbird Little League All Star tournament team our priority.

_____ We understand that All-Stars is a competitive softball situation and that players will not receive equal playing time. We also understand that batting and fielding lineups will not be equal but will be determined at the discretion of the manager and coaches in a manner that gives the team its best competitive advantage within the little league tournament rules structure.

2018 All Stars Tournament Information

The Bellevue Thunderbird All Stars tournament season runs from June 1, 2018 through the end of the latest District 9 tournament. For 2018, this time period is generally June 1 through July 15. The time period for commitment to All Stars will be extended in the event a tournament team wins the District 9 tournament and advances to the State tournament. Dates and locations for the 2018 tournaments are as follows:

  • 8/9/10 Softball – 6/23 – 7/5
  • 9/10/11 Softball – 7/5 – 7/12
  • Little League (10/11/12) Softball – 6/18 – 7/1
  • Juniors Softball – 6/20 – 6/27

Washington State Tournaments
July 5 – July 31

  • 8/9/10 Softball – 7/7 (Spokane)
  • 9/10/11 Softball – 7/14 (TBA)
  • Little League Softball – 6/30 (Vancouver)
  • Juniors Softball – 6/30 (Poulsbo)

Regional Little League Tournament
