(Arkansas) Cardinal Health, Inc., the leading provider of products and services supporting the health care industry, announced that it will establish a customer-care center in Sherwood, Arkansas creating 500 new jobs in the area. This, coupled with recent announcements by FTD.com and Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, brings the total number of announced new customer-care center jobs in Central Arkansas to 1,400 for the year. Hugh McDonald, President & CEO of Entergy Arkansas and Chairman of the Metro Little Rock Alliance cited recent strategic planning efforts as being key. ”The Metro Little Rock Alliance has been working hard to implement recommendations from our regional economic development strategic plan. molding facility that is expected to employ 425....Approximately $1 Billion dollars has been invested in Greater Little Rock River Market area in recent years and now there is more good news to report. Local officials recently unveiled plans for a new $28 million, state of the art baseball stadium on the banks of the Arkansas River in North Little Rock. The stadium will have seating for over 5,000 and 26 luxury suites.
