Dear Parents,

We invite all Chesterbrook families to participate in our “Friends of Chesterbrook” fundraiser. Friends of Chesterbrook is one of the PTA’s primary means of supporting critical student, school and enrichment needs in areas not already covered through standard school funding channels. The Friends program enables Chesterbrook parents, guardians and community members to make a donation in any amount to the PTA in order to directly support our school. A donation of $100 per family would enable us to reach our goal of $40,000, but your gift of any size is appreciated. There are two easy ways to give:

  1. Donate by check. Please make checks payable to “Chesterbrook PTA” and forward to school with the completed form on reverse. You may use backpack mail or send directly to Chesterbrook PTA, 1753 Kirby Rd., McLean, VA 22101.
  2. Donate online at Click on “Become a Family Friend,” place the desired donation level into the cart, and check out.

We are fortunate that our public school provides an outstanding program of studies for our children. Please support our efforts to help Chesterbrook be a leader in elementary school education by joining the Friends of Chesterbrook program. Your donation will help support the following PTA programs:

Student Supportincluding updated technology (such as iPads and laptops), STEM programs, grade level grants for all grades, field trip support, as well as PE, art and music equipment.

School Support including staff development, teacher stipends, classroom materials such as WordMasters, media center support, and capital expenditures such as the new furniture in the office and in the common areas throughout the school. We will also begin a refurbishment of the 15-year-old classroom whiteboards in a multi-year project.

Enrichment Programs including cultural arts and science appreciation assemblies, family fun events such as The Brain Show, health and wellness programs, International Night and the Discovery Gardens.

Donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent of the law. Chesterbrook PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and our tax ID # is 54-1268479. Please note we have a separate program to recognize Business Friends so if you own a business we invite you to consider donating as a Business Friend.
