We are issuing this School Travel Pack as a part of our Action Plan for our School Travel Plan in order to highlight some alternatives to travelling to the school by car. Parking in the vicinity of the school is very restricted. Our School Travel Plan aims to reduce the number of car journeys made by pupils attending the school. A good number of pupils, particularly older boys, use public transport. Prospective parents need to be aware of the very limited parking facilities in Hampstead and the need to consider the use of alternative methods of travel to and from the school.

  • Promoting awareness of school travel issues through newsletters and information on the school’s website.
  • Provision of pupil safety instruction for older pupils who wish to travel independently.
  • Promotion of walk to school events for those who live within walking distance of the school.
  • Working with Camden Council to promote a safe environment for pupils to walk or cycle to school.
