WCM Authoring UAT Test

Test I / Create Content with Document/Asset AT
1. / From WCM Authoring Environment, Click:
New > Content / Brought to New Content Screen. If list of Authoring Templates to select from is not there proceed to step 2. If list is there, skip step 2 and proceed to step 3.
2. / Select the Design Library from the dropdown / List of Authoring Templates appears.
3. / Select Document/Asset Content Authoring Template and click OK / Authoring Template is open and ready to complete.
4. / Complete Identification Information – Make a note of the Display Title Used ______/ Fields are filled in.
5. / Minimize the Identification Section / Identification section is minimized and Content section is available to enter information.
6. / Enter the Abstract / Text/HTML is entered in the Abstract field
7. / Use the Native File element to upload PDF file / The path and filename for an existing PDF file is listed in the Upload a file field under Native File.
8. / In the Workflow Section, click the Select Workflow button / Brought to Select a Workflow screen. If a list of Workflows to select from is not there proceed to step 9. If list is there, skip stem 9 and proceed to step 10.
9. / Select the Design Library from the dropdown / List of Workflows appears.
10. / Select the [Site] … Preview Workflow and click OK / You are returned to the Authoring Template with Workflow information filled in. Document Status is now DRAFT.
11. / Change or enter the Publish & Expiry Dates as desired / Dates and times are changed
12. / Click the Save button without the dropdown / Brought to a Select a Site Area screen
13. / Navigate to the desired site area. Make sure it is selected and click OK at the bottom (you can ignore “Placement of new item”) / A message that the content was successfully saved in the selected content area. Returned to the Content Authoring screen in a read mode. The Document Status is now Published.
14. / Navigate to the In-Context Preview Site where you placed the content to view the content. Click on the title of the content to view the PDF. / You should be able to see the link to the PDF with a PDF icon at the end of the link. Click on the link to make sure it will open the PDF.
15. / Navigate to the Public site (not logged in) and locate the area where you placed the content to view the content. / You should NOT be able to see the link to the PDF.
Test II / Create an Image Component
1. / Select New > Component / A slide-out menu appears
2. / Select Image from the slide-out / A new Image Component opens ready to be completed.
3. / Complete Identification Information – Note Display Title Used ______/ Information is filled in.
4. / Minimize the Identification section / The Image Element section is ready to be completed.
5. / Upload Image from your local drive using the Browse button. / The path and file name for the selected image will appear in the Upload an image file: field in the Image Element section.
6. / Complete Image Border, if desired. Required: complete Image Alternate Text. Do not complete Image dimensions. / Information is filled in.
7. / Click Save without the dropdown. / Dimensions and preview of image are loaded in Image Element section.
Test III / Create Contact Content
1. / Click: New > Content / Brought to New Content Screen. If list of Authoring Templates to select from is not there proceed to step 2. If list is there, skip step 2 and proceed to step 3.
2. / Select the Design Library from the dropdown / List of Authoring Templates appears.
3. / Select Contact Content Authoring Template and click OK / Authoring Template is open and ready to complete.
4. / Complete Identification Information – Make a note of the Display Title Used ______/ Fields are filled in.
5. / Minimize the Identification Section / Identification section is minimized and Content section is available to enter information.
6. / Enter the Name of the contact / Name field will be filled in
7. / Enter the Position, select the Department, and enter the Office/Bureau / Fields are filled in.
8. / Enter Notes and format as desired. / ePhox editor is opened with Notes completed as desired.
9. / Enter up to 3 Addresses. Format as needed. / ePhox editor is opened for each Address field used. Addresses are entered as desired.
10. / Enter up to 3 Phone and 3 Fax numbers. / Fields are filled in.
11. / Enter up to 3 Email Addresses, as needed. / Fields are filled in.
12. / Enter URL 1:
-Browse Content and select existing content.
-Check Use title of linked item
-Set Link target to self / Fields for URL 1 element are completed.
13. / Enter URL 2:
-Type a URL to an outside site (http://www.cnn.com for example)
-Enter Link text (CNN News for example)
-Set Link target to New Window / Fields for URL 2 element are completed.
14. / Enter URL 3 as desired / URL 3 element completed as desired.
15. / In the Workflow Section, click the Select Workflow button / Brought to Select a Workflow screen. If a list of Workflows to select from is not there proceed to step 16. If list is there, skip stem 16 and proceed to step 17.
16. / Select the Design Library from the dropdown / List of Workflows appears.
17. / Select the [Site] … Preview Workflow and click OK / You are returned to the Authoring Template with Workflow information filled in. Document Status is now DRAFT.
18. / Change or enter the Publish & Expiry Dates as desired / Dates and times are changed
19. / Click the Save button without the dropdown / Brought to a Select a Site Area screen
20. / Navigate to the desired site area. Make sure it is selected and click OK at the bottom (you can ignore “Placement of new item”) / A message that the content was successfully saved in the selected content area. Returned to the Content Authoring screen in a read mode. The Document Status is now Published.
21. / Navigate to the In-Context Preview Site where you placed the content to view the content. / The Contact Name and First Phone Number fields should be displayed as the link to the content.
22. / Click on the link to view the Contact Information / You should see the information you entered. Any fields you left blank should not be rendered and there should be no place-holder for them. The layout should be clear and easy to read.
23. / Check the e-mail address(es) you entered. / You should be able to click on them to send an e-mail from within the content.
24. / Check the Links you entered. / You should be able to click on them and they should go to the correct destinations. Make sure they open in the appropriate windows.
25. / Navigate to the Public site (not logged in) and locate the area where you placed the content to view the content. / You should NOT be able to see the link to the Contact.
Test IV / Create Article Content
1. / Click: New > Content / Brought to New Content Screen. If list of Authoring Templates to select from is not there proceed to step 2. If list is there, skip step 2 and proceed to step 3.
2. / Select the Design Library from the dropdown / List of Authoring Templates appears.
3. / Select Article Content Authoring Template and click OK / Authoring Template is open and ready to complete.
4. / Complete Identification Information – Make a note of the Display Title Used ______/ Fields are filled in.
5. / Minimize the Identification Section / Identification section is minimized and Content section is available to enter information.
6. / Add an HTML title. Include HTML codes in the title and/or include an image or link using the Insert Image/Link tabs at the top of the field. / Title with HTML code will the visible in the HTML Title field.
7. / Add an Abstract. Include HTML codes in the abstract and/or include an image or link using the Insert Image/Link tabs at the top of the field. / Abstract with HTML code will be visible in the Abstract field.
8. / Click in the ePhox editor and add two paragraphs of text. The content does not matter. We will return to the editor later. / The ePhox editor is opened and text appears there.
9. / In the Workflow Section, click the Select Workflow button / Brought to Select a Workflow screen. If a list of Workflows to select from is not there proceed to step 11. If list is there, skip stem 11 and proceed to step 12.
10. / Select the Design Library from the dropdown / List of Workflows appears.
11. / Select the [Site] … Preview Workflow and click OK / You are returned to the Authoring Template with Workflow information filled in. Document Status is now DRAFT.
12. / Change or enter the Publish & Expiry Dates as desired / Dates and times are changed
13. / Click the Save button without the dropdown / Brought to a Select a Site Area screen
14. / Navigate to the desired site area. Make sure it is selected and click OK at the bottom (you can ignore “Placement of new item”)
(After completion of this step, you may click the Save button at any point to stop and return to this test later.) / A message that the content was successfully saved in the selected content area. Returned to the Content Authoring screen in a read mode. The Document Status is now Published.
15. / Return to Body Field and click to open ePhox editor. / ePhox editor re-opens to allow you to edit some more.
16. / Insert the Image Component added in Test II.
- Position cursor where the image is to go.
- Click button Add Image from IWWCM Library
- Click Browse under Insert a library image
- Use the Title Filter to locate your image and select it
- Click the layout: Float left
- Click OK / The image will be positioned on the left side of the screen where the cursor was positioned when you clicked the button.
17. / Insert a new image.
- Position cursor in a new location for the image.
- Click button Add Image from IWWCM Library
- Click the Browse button next to the Upload an image file box
- Select a new image from your local drive
- - Click the layout: Float right
- Click Advanced Options
- Complete the Image Alternate Text
- Click OK / The image will be loaded to the Image Component Library and the Image will be positioned on the right side of the screen where the was positioned when you clicked the button.
18. / Insert PDF Content added in Test I.
- Position the cursor at the bottom of the Body field on a new line
- Click the button: Create link to IWWCM Content
- Click the Browse Content button
- Locate the PDF file you added earlier by Browsing content By Site Area to the site area where you placed it
- Locate the content using the Title Filter in that Site Area to search for the Display Title
- Select the radio button next to the content
- Click OK
- Select the Text radio button under Display link as:
- Check the box next to Use title of linked item
- Set the Link Target to New Window
- Click OK / A link to the PDF file will be inserted at the position of the cursor in the body field. The link text will be the Display Title of the PDF file Content created in Test I.
19. / Insert a Migrated PDF Asset.
- Position the cursor on the line below the existing PDF file link
- Click the button: Create link to IWWCM Content
- Click the Browse Content button
- Locate migrated PDF files by browsing Components > File Resource
- Locate the particular Asset by using the Title Filter to search for the Asset ID number
- Select the radio button next to the PDF file
- Click OK
- Select the Text radio button under Display link as:
- Enter the Link text as you want it to display in the body
- Set the Link Target to New Window
- Click OK / A link to the PDF file will be inserted at the position of the cursor in the body field. The link text will be the Link text you entered in this step.
20. / Insert a Thumbnail Component
- Click on the Select Component button under the Thumbnail Component element
- Use the Title Filter to locate the Training_Thumbnail image
- Click the radio button beside the image and click OK at the bottom / The path to the image will be displayed in the content section under Thumbnail Component:
21. / Insert a Contact Link
- Click the Browse Content button in the Contact Link element
- Browse Content By Site Area to locate the Contact content created earlier. You can use the filter feature to help locate it
- Click the radio button beside the desired content item / The Name from the Contact will automatically be displayed in the Link Text field.
22. / Insert a URL Link Link:
- Paste or Type the URL of a link in the Type a URL field in the Link Link section.
- Select the Text radio button under Display link as:
- Enter the Link text as you want it to display in the body
- Set the Link Target to New Window / The fields will be filled in.
23. / Click the Save button without the drop-down / A message indicating saved successfully.
24. / Click the Preview button.
Close the window when you are finished. / A new window will open. The content will be displayed.
- The HTML title should be rendered at the top.
- The abstract will NOT be displayed.
- The body should be as designed in ePhox.
- The Contact Link should be at the top, under the title field.
- The Link Link should be at the bottom.
- The thumbnail will NOT be seen from this screen.
25. / Go to the In Context Preview of your site and navigate to the Site Area where this content is located. / You should see:
- A link to the content
- The Thumbnail image of the content
