WAXAHACHIE YOUTH BASEBALL ASSOCIATIONS

RULE CHANGES 6/01/2016

Length of Game: 50 minutes or 5 innings, which ever comes first.

Ball Type: McGregor #56 Tee Ball (or other manufacturer’s equivalent) for 5u division. McGregor Safe/ Soft Level 5 Ball (or manufacturer’s equivalent) for 6u division. WYBA will supply balls. No other balls will be used.

Bat Type: Bats can range from T-Ball bats up to 2 5/8” bats. No big barrel (2 ¾”and over) are not allowed.

Other Detail: On all throws to first base a dead ball will be called by the umpire once either the runner reaches first base or an out is made at first base. Once time is called if any runner is past the half way point between bases they will be awarded that next base. If runner has not reached that half way point they will be required to the previous base they came from.

Other Detail: A team must have 8 players to start a game. A team starting with 8 players will be penalized an out when the vacant 9th player should have batted. If a team has only 7 players, and if both team head coaches agree, then the game will be played as a official game. An out still must be taken when the vacant 8th player should have batted.

Other Detail: Modified t-ball rules will be in effect for all 6u baseball games of WYBA.

Team Duties: Each team is responsible for getting their own water jugs at the concession stand. These jugs will be left for any game played after them. It is the responsibility of the coaches to make sure water jugs are returned to the concession stand after the last game. Home team must return scorers bag to the concession stand after the last game has finished.
