Washington-Wilkes Fall Art Festival

The Washington Wilkes Arts Foundation presents an unforgettable weekend in the classic antebellum community of Washington, Georgia celebrating original art representing media ranging from photography to painting, ceramics to sculpture.
Application Instructions
Fees: One check in the amount of $100 (per 10 x 10 booth, non-refundable upon acceptance). Make checks payable to: Washington-Wilkes Arts Foundation. Artists are encouraged to donate one work of their choosing to the Arts Foundation in addition to their entry fee.
Entry: Artists are required to submit four digital files (JPG/GIF) via email or disc marked with applicant’s name for each separate category entered. One of these images must be of the entire display or the application will be disqualified. Digital images submitted must represent the current type of artist’s work to be exhibited and sold. All artwork considered for entry must be original in design and displayed by the artists. Spaces will be provided on a first come basis upon receipt of payment.
Artists who have exhibited in past WWAF festivals do not need to submit digital files.
Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by October 1, 2008 for notification of acceptance by October 15, 2008.

Prizes and Awards
· First Prize: $1000
· Second Prize: $500
· Third Prize: $250
The whole booth of work will be considered in the awards judgment. Other awards of merit will be announced at the time of the festival.
Other Information
Set-Up: Artists may set up their booths on Friday, November 7, 2008 from 4pm to 9pm and on Saturday, November 8th from 7am to 9am. Overnight security will be provided throughout the event.
Artists’ Reception: In celebration and appreciation of our artists, the Washington-Wilkes Arts Foundation will host a reception for our honored guests.

General Release: The undersigned does hereby discharge and release the Washington-Wilkes Arts Foundation, the City of Washington, and all other participating and sponsoring organizations from any and all manner of actions, suits, damages of claims whatsoever arising from any loss or damage to the person or property of the undersigned while exhibiting at Artfest 2008.
I hereby consent to the enforcement of Artfest’s rules as set out in this application and in the letter of instruction to be mailed to each accepted artist.
If accepted, the Washington-Wilkes Arts Foundation has my permission to publish photographs or video taken of me, my booth, and my work before and after the festival for purposes related to the promotion of the festival.
