  1. Recent Appointments
/ Andi Foley volunteered to take on the treasurer position if position only lasts 18 months with a successor beginning training after one year to facilitate past down of the role.
  1. Nonprofit status
/ Susan described goal of establishing nonprofit status for the affiliate now being possible that we have a treasurer and for the goal to be to lunch the nonprofit in January of 2018. Andi indicated the need for articles of incorporation and bylaws. Susan indicated that NACNS may have those resources or drafts available. / Susan to get Andi the documents including the affiliate agreement and any resources from NACNS.
  1. Membership
/ Group discussed qualifications for application for membership in the affiliate group. Desire is to have it inclusive not exclusive. Group agreed upon membership requirements of working as a clinical nurse specialist or trained as one. / Gaila will add qualifications to membership tab of the website.
  1. Dues
/ Group discussed common membership fees for other organizations and agreed upon charging $50 for standard membership, $30 for any CNS members and $25 for students in school and during their first year of practice. Dues they be collected via the website once Gaila enables that functionality. / Followup at next meeting regarding when to start requiring dues.
  1. Website
/ Gaila posted an initial draft of the website. Plan is to include content for links to resources (heal-wa.org, ARNP United, CNS Scope of Practice, and NACNS website), education providers (UWCNE, SNRC, PESI, online pharm CEUs) Gaila needs additional information to fill content on the website specifically under the tabs for licensure, are affiliate and the home page and any additional links people use regularly. She also needs pictures. / Susan to write up something on the licensure process, Gaila to write up something on credentialing and members to send Gaila appropriate CNS photos that can be shared on the website
  1. Education Offering
/ Group will have goal to have an education offering sometime in 2018 after the launch of the non-profit. / Group to discuss at next meeting.
  1. Legislative Action
/ Susan attending the ARNP United board meeting tonight. Discussing a bill to grant equitable privileging for all ARNPs and PAs, Susan mentioned calling out CNSs specifically as other ARNP roles are spelled out. Otherwise, this will limit our practice scope. / Susan to report out on progress at next meeting.
