Pupil Transportation Management Training Program
Don Carnahan Memorial CWU Scholarship
· Who may apply? Anyone who has successfully completed the first year and is entering the second, third or fourth year of the CWU Pupil Transportation Management Training Program (PTMTP).
· Do I have to be a WAPT member to be awarded the scholarship? No
· What does the PTMTP scholarship consist of? The cost of one year of tuition, one (double occupancy) room and board (on the CWU campus,) and one year's WAPT membership dues.
· How many scholarships are awarded? Two scholarships are awarded each year, one to an Eastside ESD person (101, 105, 123, and 171) and one to a Westside ESD person (112, 113, 114, 121, and 189).
· How do I apply? Please provide the following:
1. Certificate of completion of year one of the PTMTP
2. Be unable to obtain financial sponsorship from your employer
3. A signed and complete Scholarship Application
4. Personal Reference Outline
5. Statement of approximately 200 words concerning your goals and objectives in pursuing this training opportunity.
6. Be motivated to pursue your professional goals.
· Is there a deadline for the scholarship application? Your entry must be post-marked by April 1, 2016
· Where do I send my completed application? Please send your complete and signed application to: Marco DiCicco, Bremerton SD, 200 Bruenn Ave, Bremerton, WA 98312
· Who decides the scholarship awardee? The WAPT Scholarship Committee.
· When would I receive my scholarship? The successful candidates will be notified prior to registration deadlines. The treasurer will pay the registration fees directly to the program. The winner’s names will be announced at the June WAPT conference.
· Is there a time limit on this scholarship? Yes, the award must be used within one year.
· Do I have a chance? Yes! You absolutely have a chance, so please apply.
· You may apply for another scholarship to attend the third or fourth year of the program.
