Washington, 1789 – Monroe, 1824: Presidential Timeline

Throughout the remainder of this year you will be using www.dipity.com to create a U.S. History timeline including significant events during the time period we study. Using your book and at least one internet source, write a descriptive summary for each of the following events (listed on the back) including how each event applied, challenged, and/or shaped the Constitution. You will have to refer back to the Constitution Unit to remember the powers that were distributed or not distributed in the Constitution. Each summary will vary in the amount of information required. Some summaries may be a few sentences; other may be ten or more sentences. Use your research to guide the depth of your summaries. Be sure to include a topic sentence for each summary.
