Discussion:

Laura Mandell and the Green Team will be honored on May 3, 2012 at the courthouse for Sustainable NJ certification.

Laura Mandell discussed the Green Fair and updates. The flyer will be sent out to Commissioners. Next year, the Environmental Commission would like to have an ERI display at the fair. The Green Fair is scheduled for May 12, 2012 at the Wagner Farm Arboretum.

Phil Lobo spoke about the ERI. He reviewed information about the ERI and its update. Allison Winter made some comments and passed some to Chris Kastrud to incorporate.

Michael Francois spoke about the Greenway conservation plan which was worked on by the Environmental Commission in the past. It was used to map, demark, connect, and preserve various open space areas in the township. An intern did a portion of the work by looking at the ERI and other maps and pulling them all together to create one map. This based map had open space elements. To update this project, the Commissioners could use another intern.

Meeting date: TCC May 16, 2012

Due date: May 9, 2012

The Warren Environmental Commission discussed this at their May 2, 2012 meeting. They requested that there are more buffers between the wetlands and parking area. They asked if native woods were being kept intact. Since improvements are being made to the parking lot, this could create more run off. The Commissioners are concerned about drainage.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:52PM

Respectfully submitted,
