Disclaimer: I own none of this. Michael Crichton owns JurassicPark and its characters. Please do not sue me, for I have no money to give. The characters of Matt Malcolm and Alex Levine are of my creating. There is no Matt that is the son of Ian and Sarah from Michael Crichton, and Richard Levine doesn’t have a son at all under Michael Crichton’s writing. The character of Kathy Freeman is of my own creation as well. Please do not steal these characters from me.

1 EXT. PACIFIC OCEAN- DAY 1
Opening credits on screen (music plays in the background)
Close up of ocean water floating fast.
Camera pans slowly upward as we hear helicopter propellers going.
A HELICOPTER is then shown flying toward an island.
At the bottom of screen words as follows:
Isla Nublar, 87 miles northwest of Isla Sorna
The helicopter flies low as we see the logo of the Biosyn Corporation on the side of the chopper. The helicopter descends onto the beach of the island and two men step out. Their names are JOHN LOVASKI and RAMON MILLER, and they work for Biosyn as surveyors for the island.
CUT TO:
2 INT. ISLAND- DAY 2
RAMON
(Yelling to the pilot)
"Wait here for us! We'll be back in a few minutes!"
The PILOT gives the man a thumbs up and the two men walk forwards slowly into the foliage. The trees are lush and green. The two were unable to see very far ahead of them because of the thickness of the covering moss and vines. The two men have to brush it all aside to get through because of this.
Suddenly they feel the ground come out from under them as they fall into a hole screaming the whole way down. When they reach the bottom they stand and look up seeing the sunlight above. They then hear chirping sounds and look down to see several small green lizards looking at them oddly, as well as nests of eggs in the area. The two men look at their feet and see that they have steeped on several of the eggs. The men look shocked and start climbing the sides of the hole to get back to the top. The COMPIES then start climbing as well jumping on the backs of the men and start biting into them as they both scream. They make it out of the hole and fling the compies off of them as they run back toward the helicopter waiting for them.
They jump into the helicopter as fast as they can out of breath.
JOHN
"Get us out of here now!"
The Pilot nods and takes off. They rush away from the island as fast as the helicopter can go.
Suddenly an impact is felt as the men look out the windows to see several PTERANODONS grabbing the legs of the Helicopter and are pulling the chopper down toward the ocean. Then the glass in the cockpit is smashed as the Pteranodons peck at the Pilot. All three men scream as they feel themselves losing control of the helicopter and crash into the ocean while the Pteranodons continue to peck at the vehicle to get at the people inside.
CUT TO:
3 INT. PRESS MEETING ROOM- DAY 3
Camera pans to show a huge press room with people standing around holding cameras in the back of the room while others are sitting with notepads and pens waiting to ask questions to the man they're meeting.
A balding man in his late forties walks up to the podium wearing an expensive looking suit. This man is DR. LEWIS DODGSON of the Biosyn Corporation.
Behind Dodgson is a slide projector screen that is lit and ready for use of the remote in Dodgson’s hand.
DODGSON
"Thank you for coming ladies and gentlemen. I'm Dr. Lewis Dodgson of the Biosyn Corporation. I've come here today to inform you all of a wonderful and great investment that I have just signed with both the US and Costa Rican Governments. I've just bought the rights to Isla Nublar, or as most people like to call it, Jurassic Park. The reason for this buy is so that I can mainly go to the island, take the animals to a more suitable location, and build a better, stronger, and more reliable Park that all of the people of the world will truly enjoy. All of the world has seen the disaster that was caused in San Diego-"
Dodgson then runs some slides of the horrific incident that occurred in San Diego.
DODGSON
(Cont.)
"That could've been prevented if John Hammond had hired better employees that were both trust worthy and loyal. However his negligence caused Jurassic Park to become a disaster and this"
(pointing to projector)
"To occur. I however am basing my park more on technology then employees unlike him. Ladies and Gentlemen, before the end of this week the animals from Nublar or Sorna won't matter, because the animals at my park will be much more realistic to everyone's wants and needs. I can take questions now."
CUT TO:
4 INT. TELEVISION CLOSEUP- DAY 4
Television is shown with Dodgson on it pointing out into the crowd saying "Yes." The television is then shut off.
Camera pans around to show JOHN HAMMOND sitting in a wheel chair holding the remote in his hand as he huffs and puffs angrily at the television. Standing behind the old man with arms crossed is a forty three year old man named DR. HENRY WU.
HAMMOND
(Sighing)
"It's happening again Henry. I knew someday it would. I just hoped I'd be dead before it did."
WU
"Mr. Hammond, you know that Biosyn has been our rivals for years. You should've definitely expected this to happen."
HAMMOND
"And I have my dear friend."
Hammond turns his wheel chair around to face Wu.
HAMMOND
(Continued)
"It's up to you Henry. You have to stop Dodgson before it's too late! I need you to go to Nublar for me. I'm too old to be doing this kind of thing. Will you?"
WU
(With a face of disbelief)
"Mr. Hammond, it's not my place to stop him! He has permission from both the US and Costa Rican Governments. We can't go against them!"
HAMMOND
"Damn you Henry! He may have our government, but do you possibly think that the Costa Rican Government would give anyone permission to go to one of those islands?"
WU
"You believe Dodgson lied about Costa Rica?"
HAMMOND
"Of course he did! He probably made a fake document signature legible enough for the stupid delegates to approve."
WU
"Still, I don't ever want to have to return to that island again."
HAMMOND
(Sighing)
"Ok then. I guess I'll have to go do it at my old age-"
WU
"Mr. Hammond you are in no condition to be going to that island. You can't even walk!"
HAMMOND
(Laughing)
"Then go to Isla Nublar for me Henry. You are my only remaining hope now!"
WU
(Sighing and rubbing hands through his hair)
"I'm just one man. How am I supposed to stop a whole company?"
HAMMOND
(Looking at Wu sternly)
"Well I'd assume that you'd need a team. I already have a man named Jack Thorne who has made your vehicles and other equipment. Now it's up to you to get the rest of your experts."
WU
(Looking confused)
"Experts?"
HAMMOND
"Yes! I wasn't expecting you to go to the island without other JP survivors! You will have permission to give out a large enough sum of money to anyone that you want thanks to InGen. I'd recommend Malcolm or Grant."
WU
"Ian Malcolm and Alan Grant? What in the world could I tell them that could possibly get them to go with me to that island?"
Hammond moves his wheelchair over to a nearby and messy desk. He picks up a small packet of paper and hands them to Wu.
HAMMOND
"That is the list of damages and deaths that occurred during the San Diego Incident. That incident is your key to getting them. Remind them of the horror that occurred in 1997, and ask them if they really want it to happen again. Malcolm had to live through all of that. Grant didn't have to see that, but he knows that it shouldn't happen again and when it comes to Grant money has always been his downfall. He'll be easier then Malcolm, but not to much easier. Can I count on you to help me my good friend?"
WU
(Thinking it over)
"Fine, I'll do it. If it means stopping Biosyn and saving Jurassic Park, I'll do it."
HAMMOND
(Smiling)
"Thank you Henry, and good luck."
CUT TO:
5 INT. 5TH GRADE CLASS ROOM- DAY 5
DR. IAN MALCOLM stands at the front of a classroom filled with 20 11, 10, and 9 year old fifth graders. Above the blackboard is a large banner that says "Parent Career Day" in bold letters.
MALCOLM
(Continuing a speech)
"-And with these complex systems that I ah, try to decipher in Chaos Theory, evolution is just another explained situation. In um, proven fact Mathematics has caused many angles of evolution to be solved. However there are still other areas that have to be discovered by scientists."
STUDENT
(Hand raised high)
"So, does this theory tell us what caused those raptors on Sorna to evolve into something more?"
MALCOLM
(Stunned)
"Ah, how do you know this?"
STUDENT
(Smiling)
"I read a lot of Alan Grant's books."
MALCOLM
(Rolling eyes)
"Oh, I see. Well in pure fact yes the explanation is very simple and to the point. The raptors had to evolve to become better parents. That's the reason that Dr. Grant is still living because the raptors had to become good parents."
Another STUDENT near the back had his hand raised. Malcolm smiles recognizing him as his son MATT.
MATT
"So dad, does this also explain why your jokes are so cheesy?"
All of the STUDENTS and even the teacher laughed. Malcolm suddenly felt embarrassed and decided to laugh himself. He then looked outside the door to see his wife motioning for him to leave the classroom.
MALCOLM
"Thank you all for having me. Are there any other questions?"
No one spoke. They were all to busy trying to hold back their laughter.
TEACHER
"Thank you for coming Dr. Malcolm. I see now where your son gets his knowledge."
Everyone starts laughing again. Malcolm exits the classroom.
CUT TO:
6 INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY- DAY 6
Malcolm starts walking down the hallway with DR. SARAH HARDING MALCOLM.
SARAH
"Great job. Just like me you always make your audience laugh."
MALCOLM
"Not me this time. Our son did it."
SARAH
(Laughing)
"You seem like something is wrong. What's up?"
Malcolm stops and looks around making sure that no one is listening.
MALCOLM
"Did you watch the news last night? Particularly the press meeting that was on at six."
SARAH
(Looking at him confused)
"No, was it bad or something? Did the president interrupt one of your favorite shows again?"
MALCOLM
(Smiling)
"No! This news may shock you so I want you to be prepared. A man named Lewis Dodgson has bought Isla Nublar and is planning to move those animals to a new location. I'm not positive, but it's possible that Hammond will want me to go stop him. All I want you to do is refuse to go. You need to stay here with the baby. Matt is going out to a dig site tomorrow to spend time with him best friend so he'll be ok. All I want you to do is-"
MAN
(O.S.)
"Dr. Malcolm!"
Malcolm and Sarah look over at a CHINESE MAN walking toward them from down the hallway.
MALCOLM
"Well it was sooner then I thought. You go take care of getting Matt's things together if you would. I'll be back soon. I promise."
Sarah walks off back toward the classroom. Malcolm starts walking toward the Chinese Man. They meet and shake hands.
MALCOLM
"Henry Wu. Long time no see. How have you been?"
WU
"Not so good. Did you watch the news last night?"
MALCOLM
(Nodding)
"Yep."
WU
"So I guess you already know why I'm here right?"
MALCOLM
(Smiling)
"Am I really that predictable?"
WU
(Laughing)
"I'm afraid so. Anyway, Mr. Hammond is very upset about what has happened and has left me in charge of sending a team to Isla Nublar to stop Dodgson at all costs. Are you willing to help InGen one more time?"
Malcolm turns away shaking his head in disbelief, sighing. He turns back around to face Wu again.
WU
"I'm sure that you don't want something like the San Diego Incident happening again do you?"
MALCOLM
"Fine. You've made your point. I'll do it."
WU
(Smiling)
"Thank you Dr. Malcolm. You will be rewarded handsomely for this. Thank of all the money you'll get to insure your son's future."
Malcolm turns around to see Sarah and Matt waving at him. Malcolm waves back. He then turns back around and shakes hands with Wu.
CUT TO:
7 EXT. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL- DAY 7
A MAN stands just outside the school taking notes as he listens to Malcolm and Wu talking just down the hallway.
CUT TO:
8 INT. BIOSYN BREIFING ROOM- DAY 8
Three men are sitting at a small office-meeting table. They are Lewis Dodgson, GEORGE BASELTON, and HOWARD KING. The men are basically whispering to each other, but stop when they hear a door open as the camera pans to show that the man entering the door is the same man that was listening to Malcolm and Wu minutes before. This man's name is ED JAMES. The man walks forward and sits down at the table. Dodgson smiles.
DODGSON
"So what do you have for us?"
JAMES
"Your speculations of John Hammond were correct. He's sending a geneticist named Henry Wu to the island at the same time we’re going. Wu is getting a team together as we speak."
DODGSON
(Smiling)
"Hammond is a fool if he thinks he can stop us. Whom is this Wu guy taking with him?"
JAMES
(Taking several pictures out of a briefcase)
"Alan Grant, Paleontologist, as well as Ian Malcolm, Mathematician. He's also got a man named Jack Thorne creating their field vehicles. I should however mention that Grant is not exactly on the team yet. Wu and Malcolm are in the process of flying out to Montana right now."
DODGSON
"Is there anyone that works at Grant's dig site that we should be suspicious of?"
JAMES
"Most of the people that work there are teenagers. However, there is another well-trained Paleontologist there named Richard Levine. He might decide to go along, but it's uncertain."
DODGSON
"What about Malcolm's wife? Is she going?"
JAMES
(Shaking his head)
"She's staying home to watch over their baby."
DODGSON
(Shaking his head)
"Do you know about anyone else?"
JAMES
"That's all I've been able to get out of this case sir."
DODGSON
Well, that is explainable. Everyone else is too far out of reach to be able to be a part of this.”
JAMES
”Exactly. The Kirby family is in Paris with Dr. Billy Brennan. Roland Tembo and Nick van Owen are in Kenya. Malcolm’s daughter is in Paris as well. Hammond’s grandchildren are in college. Gerry Harding is in China. Everything is a go from here.”
DODGSON
"Now that we know who we're dealing with, we'll be able to get the job done much easier. I've decided to take a less expensive and quicker approach to what we're going to do!"
JAMES
(Confused)
"You've made a change in plans?"
Dodgson leans to the ground picking up a small black box and sets it on the table.
DODGSON
(Smiling)
"We will use this on the animals and then take the eggs out of the nests."
JAMES
(Still confused)
"What are you going to do? Hit the animals in the head with the bloody thing!"
DODGSON
(Laughing)
"When you turn this button on the side on, a loud pitched scream will be heard fro miles, however only the animals will really hear it."
BASELTON
"It's kind of like a dog whistle."
KING
"The only real exception is that since it's for dinosaurs and most of them are much bigger we had to make the sound amplify better."
JAMES
"So you're saying that the animals will just back off and you guys will get the eggs?"
DODGSON
"Exactly. Plus with this we don't need a large team and only one vehicle. Mr. Rossiter likes the idea of having to spend so little money on this."
JAMES
"Well when do we leave?"
DODGSON
(Smiling)
"Within the hour."
CUT TO:
9 EXT. PALEONTOLOGICAL DIG SITE- MONTANA- DAY 9
Camera shows a small dig site with several young people walking around and others digging in the ground.
CUT TO:
10 INT. DIG TRAILER- DAY 10
DR. RICHARD LEVINE and his son, ALEX LEVINE are in dig site trailer talking while the boy stares out the window.
LEVINE
"So how long exactly will this friend of yours be here?"
ALEX
"A month I hope, and he's my best friend!"
Levine
(Putting hands up in defense)
"Ok! Ok! Listen Dr. Grant is on the warpath right now for some reason. He wants to leave the site and I have to figure out why. What's your "Best friend's" name by the way?"
