Warning Order – Air Cadet Oganisation Drill and Ceremonial Camp 2016

  1. As per ACMB requirements and a pre requisite to the flagship ACO 75th Anniversary Parade in 2016. There will be an ACO Drill and Ceremonial Camp for 350 cadets held at Beckingham training camp, Beckingham Training area, Lincoln, from Saturday 06th August to Sunday 14th August. We also require 84 members of Staff to assist this Number to include 30 WDI's and additional staff to run events.
  1. The ACO Drill and Ceremonial Camp is open to all Cadets from the ATC and CCF aged between 14 – 20 who already possess a good level of personal drill and turnout. (There are 9 places per Wing, any Wing not taking up there full allocation will have the spare places allocated across there Region and 53 places for CCF)
  1. Squadron Commanders are asked to bid for cadet places by inserting candidate information on the SharePoint link below. These bids are to be authorised and prioritised by the Wing Warrant Officers. Regional Warrant Officers are required to ensure that the WWO’s complete the authorisation and prioritisation process by 06 May 2016.
  1. Squadron Commanders are to ensure each candidate holds an up to date WHT on the L98 A2 prior to attending the Camp.
  1. The cost of this camp will be £65 for Cadets and £25 for Staff attending, this money will include a levy for transportation on and around Camp.
  1. Following 2015 and the non-attendance of circa 75 Cadets, payments are now to be made NLT 18th June, Instructions will be within the administration orders along with refund information should cadets withdraw from the camp.
  1. Nominations are to be made via the Share point – 75th anniversary tab NLT1st Apr 2016.

is a requirement for the following staff members.

  • Qualified ACO Weapons Drill Instructors
  • Authorised ATC Drill Instructors (non-weapons)
  • Parade personnel – 1No Officer (VRT) Flt lt or below – 1No SNCO(ATC) DI

(Officers are required to have belt loops fitted to No 1 Jackets)

  • OC’s Section visits (local station knowledge preferred but not required)
  • Drivers – (current FMT600 & Copy of your 103) to be forwarded to the Camp Comm on selection for uploading RAF Cranwell MT
  • First Aid (All levels)
  • Various administration / support roles
  • Climbing wall instructors
  • Media personnel
  1. WWO’s are to approve all nominations, once applicants have been checked for person drill and uniform standards NLT 6th May 2016
  1. CCF members are to make contact with their local WWO’s for approval, WWO’s are then to report to WO Dave Fitzgerald (Camp CCF LO) once approved. ( a separate briefing pack will be given to ALL WWO’s)

Administration order, along with a list of those selected will be issued via HQAC NLT 20th May 2016.
