WARDROBE and PACKING LIST for TOUR 2016 – CHOIR
Choir Blazer, short-sleeve polo or dress shirt, khaki shorts or pants, sneakers, casual belt, and any socks will be worn on departure. (No tie)
___Luggage - 1 suitcase and 1 carry-on bag/backpack
___2 Luggage keys (one for boy, one for chaperone)
___Folded lightweight garment bag (packed in suitcase) with name clearly marked
___Two wire hangers for the garment bag (packed in suitcase)
___Poncho or folding umbrella (with name on it)
___PBCC cap, or other type baseball cap
___1 Choir blazer (worn on departure) Make sure you know your blazer number. Have card with name on it.
___2-3 white short-sleeve shirts for uniform
___2 pair white pants for uniform
___2 black ties for uniform
___1-2 black belt for uniform
___2 PBCC red polo shirts
___2 short-sleeve polo or dress shirts (any color or pattern). Definition – must have buttons part-way or all the
way down the front (one worn on departure)
___1 casual shirts – any style, including t-shirts. Be sure images and slogans are culturally sensitive.
___1 tour t-shirt
___2 pair khaki shorts – beige color (one worn on departure). Not “cargo” shorts.
___1 pair khaki pants (optional) – beige color, docker style (may be worn on departure)
___1 casual belt (worn on departure)
___1 pair black dress shoes for uniform
___1 pair casual shoes (good for walking) Sneakers are fine if they are cleaned. (worn on
departure)
___1 pair sandals or flip-flops (optional)
___7 sets of underwear (white or black only, depending on skin color) (one worn on departure)
___7 pairs black socks (or 4 pairs black socks and 5 pairs casual socks) (one pair worn on departure)
___1 bathing suit
___1 pair pajamas
___1 travel weight bathrobe (optional)
___Towel
___Soap in covered container
___Toilet kit - toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, comb, deodorant, shampoo
___Sunscreen (pack in a zip lock bag in your suitcase, not your carry-on, because of airport security)
___Mosquito repellant (pack in a zip lock bag in your suitcase, not your carry-on, because of airport security)
___Toilet paper (in carry-on)
___Detergent (individual powder packets - no liquid)
___Shoe polish (no liquid)
___Plastic bags for dirty laundry (zip lock bags are good)
___Sunglasses
___Kleenex and/or small packets of tissues
___Empty bottle for water, with name clearly marked
___Camera, memory cards, plug/voltage adaptor, charger/extra batteries (optional) NAME ON IT!.
___Required medication
___Writing materials (address book, pens, journal, note paper)
___Wallet with identification
___Travel alarm clock
___Watch
___Music binder with Cuban pieces (name inside)
___Friendship pins
No candy or chewing gum of any kind permitted on tour (chewing gum for descent will be dispensed by chaperone ONLY for those in need.)
Every boy should have a haircut.
NO earrings on tour.
NO scissors, nail clipper or sharp utensils of any kind in carry on.
Do not take glass bottles or aerosol cans. Plastic bottles only – pack with toiletries in flight bag.
Carry all necessary liquids ¾ full and sealed securely with tape. Maximum of 3.3 oz. per item. All liquids must fit in a zip-lock bag smaller than 8” x 8” OR put it in the suitcase (zip-lock bag still recommended).
No liquid detergent or shoe polish
Have blazer cleaned and in A-1 condition with buttons sewn on (check buttons carefully!)
Easy to launder perma-press clothes are preferred
Keep shoes in shoe bags, plastic bags or old socks and pack in hinge section of suitcase
Pack shirts buttoned and alternate direction of collars
Keep robe and PJ’s on top for easy access
Tape a checklist to inside lid of suitcase so boy can check upon departure of each city.
Make sure most (if not all) articles are marked with his name (with laundry marker or name tags)
PLEASE check the length of pants. There is time to either lower or raise the pant legs according to your son’s present size. Bottom of pant should touch or hang just below the top of the back of the shoe.
Pack one full set of underwear and your toiletries in your carry-on bag. A full bottle of shampoo will not be permitted in your carry-on; we suggest a small bottle for your carry-on and a full bottle in your suitcase.
