NetSetGO – GO - Competition

(8-10 year olds) (Grade 3 & 4)

(Born between 1.1.2008 – 31.12.2010)

Saturday 11.15am to 12 midday

Team Registration: Thursday 15 March & 22 March 2018 5.30pm-7pm

·  Team Manager/Coach to submit Team Registration form with names of all players intending to play with team recorded at the time of registration. Players should complete their registration a week prior to competition commencing.

·  An adult contact name and phone number must be listed on Team Registration Sheet who will be the liaison for all communication purposes.

·  Team name to be recorded on Team Registration sheet. Do not use School name then number team 1, 2 3 etc. Team name cannot be changed after registration dates.

·  Under Netball Victoria regulations introduced in 2017 all adult coaches, team managers and umpires must provide evidence of a valid working with children check.

2018 PLAYER, COACH and UMPIRE NETBALL VICTORIA MEMBERSHIP

·  Players, coaches and umpires must register themselves online for their Netball Victoria and Wangaratta Netball Association registration in 2018 via the link on the Wangaratta Netball Association website / Noticeboard. WNA is unable to process manual registrations.

·  If you have any problems registering contact us at with player details eg name, date of birth so we can assist you to ensure a smooth registration process. Contact us if you require an email address updated.

·  Registration includes the completion of an online Registration form.

·  Team Manager responsible for ensuring WNA Committee has evidence of payment of 2018 Netball Victoria membership before players takes the court. All players will receive email confirmation of payment of Netball Victoria membership therefore it is important that your email address is correct.

·  Participant packs will be distributed directly to each participant from the time of their registration. Please allow 21 days delivery after registration. Please ensure your delivery details are correct when registering.

Fees

NetSetGo player (includes participation pack & postage) $120 (NV $60 + WNA $60)

Non-playing Junior Umpire or Coach $60 (NV $53 + WNA $7)

Non-playing Senior Umpire or Coach $80 (NV $73 + WNA $7)

Additional Information – Team Managers/Coaches

Conduct of Game

·  NetSetGo players cannot play in the Junior competition.

·  Team representative to report to the appropriate window at least 10 minutes before the scheduled game start time.

·  No jewellery, earrings or adornment may be worn during the game.

·  All players to be in appropriate uniform when taking the court (Girls-skirt; Boys-sport shorts plus polo shirt or t-shirt) in the same colour. Long sleeved tops and leggings permitted during cold weather.

·  Only NetSetGo coaches are allowed to coach along sidelines or when umpiring to explain the rules of the game.

·  All players should receive equal court time during the season and have the opportunity/encouraged to play all different positions.

·  Only in NetSetGO can players be moved from one team to another to ensure a game can be played. Wangaratta Netball Association’s aim is to maximize on court practice as part of learning for NetSetGO players.

Injury

·  In NetSetGo games the umpires should use their own discretion when allowing a player to return to the game. This applies to players arriving late as well as players who have left the game for injury or under the blood policy.

·  All injuries to be reported to the Clubrooms and an Injury Incident form completed at the discretion of the injured player or players’ guardian.

·  Blood rule – any player who is bleeding must be removed from the court immediately to be attended too.
