DRAWING AND PAINTING 1
Drawing and Painting 1 is a visual art course which allows the student to experiment with techniques, media, art history, and critiques of their own work and others. Students will develop fundamental sills in drawing and painting and will explore mediums, such as pencil, ink, chalk and oil pastel, tempera, watercolor and acrylics. Students will be encouraged to develop and refine their own sense of style and originality and apply this to their art projects.
Reading and writing is incorporated into the class. Students will be required to record and respond to warm-up questions everyday. Art history, art critiques, assessments, reading, quizzes, and question sheets will also be part of the class.
The Cres Assessment (final exam) will count as 20% of your final grade and will be recorded on the report card.

Be responsible: Act rationally; choose wisely. Recognize your own role in building a fun and productive community of learners. Understand there will be consequences, both good and bad, for your actions.
