Fixed Term Contracts

W&RSETA - TVET Regional Coordinators

The Wholesale and Retail Sector for Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) seeks to employ twelve (12) TVET Regional Coordinators on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2020 who will report directly to the Regional Managers and be based at the following TVET Colleges:

§  Gauteng North: Ekurhuleni East & Tshwane North TVET Colleges X 1 Coordinator each

§  Kwa Zulu-Natal: Mthashana & Esayidi TVET College X 1 Coordinator each

§  Western Cape: South Cape (George) , Boland & West Coast TVET College X 1 Coordinator each

§  Mpumalanga: Gert Sibande TVET College X 1 Coordinator

§  Limpopo: Letaba TVET College X 1 Coordinator

§  North West: Vuselela TVET College X 1 Coordinator

§  Eastern Cape: Ikhala & Port Elizabeth TVET College X 1 Coordinator each

Key Performance Areas will include but not limited to the following:

§  Strengthen SETA/Colleges Partnerships;

§  Prepare all project reports and grant claim documentations;

§  Design and develop relevant processes and tools towards efficient administration and systems;

§  Conduct site visits to stakeholders for learner’s verification and monitoring;

§  Coordinate and manage Skills Facilitators placed at colleges, where applicable;

§  Bring non-participating retail companies on board to implement / participate in the SETA projects;

§  Be a link between Qualifications and Quality Assurance Unit and the Colleges in assisting with the facilitation of extension of scope and implementation of programmes;

§  Assist with the capacitation of Lecturers at various workplaces;

§  Provide support towards establishment and utilisation of Practicum Rooms within each campus;

§  Conduct Career Guidance sessions within the TVET College and the general retail sector;

§  Support Graduate Placements & Internships;

§  Responsible for Annexure 2 submissions within geographic area of responsibility;

§  Ensure SMME participation in skills development initiatives and projects;

§  Bursaries – Information sharing and support to beneficiaries;

§  Increase partnerships and collaboration between TVET’s, retailers and learners;

§  Participate in the performance management system and organisational performance;

§  Provide weekly report updates to the Regional Manager/Team Leader;

§  Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be requested from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

§  Relevant tertiary qualification at NQF Level 6 ( National Diploma) or equivalent;

§  Minimum of 3 years related project management experience;

§  People Management experience and skills;

§  Valid driver’s license (code 08) and own reliable transport;

§  Computer Literacy (Proficient in Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint & Ms Project).

§  Having been exposed to SETA environment will be an added advantage

§  Understanding of W&RSETA processes for learning programmes;

§  Annexure 2 submissions (including NSDS & New Grants Regulations);

§  Excellent Report Writing Skills & Presentation Skills;

§  Innovative & Creativity Skills;

§  Excellent Communication & interpersonal Skills;

§  High Energy Levels and attention to detail;

§  Ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relations;

§  Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the Region.
