Meeting Called to Order at 1833

Secretary’s Report: No report available, deferred until June, 2012

Treasurer’s Report: Report distributed motion to approve with second, no discussion, approved.

Old Business:

Communication: June 12 is new role out date for narrowband role out. No meetings scheduled for further information. CALEX, NVRH, Peacham confirm dates set for reprogramming. Others still are working on confirmation. District Trailer in Danville needs to be checked to see if the radios are ready to be programmed.

District Policies/Protocol Committee: Deb reports no work at this time. Information to be obtained from website for further work.

EMT Class: Michael reports 10 have passed all practical’s, 8 to retest, 1 completed both written and practical and others that are scheduled written. Overall everything went well. Mark attended class last week which went over some options for teaching to ensure all materials are provided and skills are successfully met.

Payout for practical evaluators was approved at beginning of class. Motion made to compensate evaluators who traveled to Northfield for test on April 21 for six hours at $70 per evaluator, seconded, and approved.

EMS Week: Kristen isworking on Caledonian Record article to be placed on Thursday of EMS week. Quotes have been provided for a half page ad ($519.75). Patches have been gathered except for Newbury and Woodsville, Mark to follow up. Motion made and seconded for ad to be placed, seconded and approved

Gathering on May 22 at the State House. Contact Jim Baraw at Northfield if interested.

EMS gathering on June 9 at the Town Pavilon and one of the town fields. Scheduled to start at 1pm, services to bring salads and desserts and district to supply meat and drinks. Families invited, bring Frisbees, etc. Further information to follow later this week.

Transitions: No information, Mark will update as information comes in.

District 5 Award: Awaiting information from District 3

AAA Star of Life:Pending information.

EMR Class: Going well, going to test on June 16, 2012

I/C Course: Three applications of interest received from Jon Bouffard, Jillian McLaughlin,Tom D’Ambra and Jonathon Shortt. UVM awarded the contract for the grant. Motion to accept and support all four applicants, seconded and passed.

New Business:

Monthly Leadership Conference Call: Reviewed new appointment to the State Office, transitions discussed, no new legislation to discuss. EMS conference scheduled for end of September with post conference offerings. VAA meeting this Thursday in Bennington if anyone is interested in attending.

Updated PCS: Mark presented a new PCS which has been developed by EMS attorneys which reflexes new standards. Copy reviewed by transporting services. Decided to meet with Mike Rousse as a starting place and meet with other hospitalist to help educate. Deb to get email list to Mark for initial email to providers and care management, then sit up meetings as deemed appropriate. Will also need to educate clerical staff regarding NO use of stickers on the form, they need to be filled out in detail.

H.794: Mark presented a last minute add on to the Search and Rescue bill. The committee report appears to circumvent rules in place. Document presented to members for review. Several concerns voiced regarding changes and how they will affect how we currently operate.

Case Review: Dr. Baker indicated the review will be held with DHMC as soon as it can be rescheduled. Chart review by Dr. Baker will be scheduled for June 20 at 7pm at NVRH, Room 127. Each service to provide 10 runs to be reviewed, services should be chose interesting runs for review. Topic to be chosen to present along with reviews.
