  1. This EVS programmestarts from March 2018 and will run for 12 months. We can only accept applications from volunteers who can commit to a full 12 month placement with no other plans that may interrupt this (for example if you have applied to go to University in 2018 or you plan to actively seek full time work or other placement during that 12 month period).
  2. You must be 18 or over to participate.
  3. Successful applicants will be offered roles in one of 4 different Depaul locations:North East England (main city Newcastle), North West England (main city Manchester), Sheffield or London. We will ask you about your preference at interview but we cannot guarantee that you will be able to offer a placement in your preferred area. You can of course decline an offer if you choose.
  4. If you are placed in Newcastle, you will be living in a shared house with 3 other EVS volunteers. If you are placed in London you will be living in a host family home provided via an agency we work with. If you are placed in Sheffield you will be living in either a shared flat with one other EVS volunteer or in a host home placement. If you are placed in Manchester you will be living with one other EVS volunteer in a shared two bedroom flat.
  5. EVS volunteering at Depaul can be tough but it is also extremely rewarding. We are a very supportive organisation and want the best for our volunteers. We are looking for volunteers who have some life experience and who are looking for areal challenge. EVS is not a gap year, it is full time volunteering and requires commitment. Whilst it is hard work, our volunteers have plenty of opportunity to have fun too!
