The Women’s Lunch Place(WLP) has a variety of volunteer opportunities that vary in skill level and time commitment. We want to help you decide if our organization is a good match for you. Please take a moment to answer for yourself, the following questions. Remember that volunteering is a commitment and it is important that you find a place to volunteer your time that best matches your skills, interests and availability.
- Often people with good intentions are just too busy to volunteer. Many of our volunteer opportunities require a minimum time commitment of six months. We rely on volunteers tomeet the needs of our guests as well as fulfill administrative gaps for the organization. Without reliable volunteers, the needs in our community would not be met.
Do you have time in your life now for this kind of commitment?
- Our hours of operation are Monday thru Saturday 7:00am-2:30pm. Most of our direct service volunteer opportunities happen during this time. Although we may have a few administrative positions available at other times…..
Do the hours above fit with your availability?
- We are looking for volunteers who possess certain skills/characteristics. Having these skills/characteristics will make for a more successful volunteer experience.

- The WLP values the unique skills and knowledge of each of its volunteers. As a volunteer, you will be encouraged to bring your skills and knowledge to your position. However, there are also policies and practices in place to guide you and to ensure that we are providing quality services to our guests. From time to time, your personal beliefs may differ from the standards you are expected to follow. In these cases:
