VOLUNTEER INFORMATION 2017 CHERRY BLOSSOM RUN

VOLUNTEERDate: Saturday, April 1

Volunteer Assignment: Water Stop for the Kids Runis located at the National Building Museum

Time of Assignment: 8AM-11AM–(or on completion of your previous assignment)--Please be on time! We cannot guarantee a volunteer assignment or entry into next year’s CUCB run if you are late for your volunteer shift or do not work your entire shift.

Check In: All volunteers will receive an email a few days before your assignment with a QR code. We will use this QR code to sign in all volunteers. All volunteers should bring the QR code(on your phone or printed out) to your station captain. Your QR code will be scanned to check you in; this will guarantee that you get your entry code for next year's race.

Meet Linda Pricewho is the leader the Kids Run Water Stop. You will receive your long sleeve volunteer shirt there.

Getting there: The National Building Museum is located at 401 F St. NW, Washington, DC 2001. The Judiciary Square Metro stop is across the street from the main entrance to the National Building Museum and is served by the Red Line. You should enter at the loading dock - Once you arrive at the building museum, the loading dock is located at the 4th Street entrance, to the right as you exit the Metro on F Street. Use of Metro is strongly encouraged.Due to several other events taking place in DC the same day, traffic & metro will be hectic. Please allow yourself enough travel time so you are not late for your shift.

Information about your duties:

  • Dress appropriately for the weather. Even on a nice day it can be a bit chilly so probably best to wear layers.
  • The kids race starts at 9:30 and we expect about 500 runners.
  • We recycle everything that is recyclable including clothing.
  • Please bag all waste and leave the bags in a pile on the curb.
  • The pitchers that you use to dip the water are disposable so they can be thrown out
