PARKING POLICY

Our first priority in our Parking Lot is to provide safe and adequate parking for our residents.

1.Parking is by Housing Authority Sticker only. To receive a sticker, residents must provide current information regarding their automobile: vehicle registration form, driver’s license, license plate number, and insurance card. Stickers must be placed inside the car on the driver’s side of the rear window in the lower corner.

2.Any vehicle parked on the property without a valid Housing Authority Parking Sticker, current valid license plates, improperly parked, in disrepair, or parked in designated handicapped parking spaces without handicapped license plates or handicapped parking tag, are subjected to be towed at the expense and risk of the owner of the vehicle.

  1. All visitors must park their vehicles on the street. Any vehicle without the DCHA sticker in their window will be towed at owner’s expense.
  1. Vehicles parked on the property for seven (7) consecutive days or more which are not in operable condition will be towed at the expense and risk of the owner of the vehicle.
  1. No large trucks, boats or trailers may be parked on theproperty.
  1. No bodywork, tune-ups, oil changes or other repairs are to be done on theproperty. Minor emergency repairs, such as tire changing or battery charging are acceptable.

PARKING LOT SNOW REMOVALDuring snowstorms, residents may be asked to move their cars to facilitate snow removal. It is the residents responsibility to leave keys with someone who will move their car if the owner is unable to do so.

DEFINITION OF IMPROPERLY PARKED VEHICLES

  1. Parked in more than one space.
  2. Parked illegally in designated areas such as “No Parking”, “Handicapped”, “Reserved”, “Fire Lane”, or on the grass or sidewalks, in front of the garbage dumpster, fire hydrants.
  3. Double parked, or otherwise blocking other vehicles.
  4. Parked on blocks.

DEFFINITION OF VEHICLES IN NON-OPERABLE CONDITION

  1. Vehicles in a state of disrepair, including flat tires and broken windows, or in any way rendering the vehicle incapable of being driven.
  2. Vehicles that have been deserted.
  3. Vehicles with invalid or missing license plates.
