TIMETABLE:

11 a.m. Teams report; Coffee …..Dressing-rooms allocation …..Pre-match practice.

12 noon – 2.40 pm: Main ground - Semi-final 1: TOFT v URMSTON

12 noon – 2.40 pm: Second ground -Semi-final 2: CHESTER BOUGHTON HALL v GRAPPENHALL

2.45pm – 3.15 pm: Tea for teams, sponsors, umpires, club officials, league officials & guests

3.30 pm – 6.10 pm: Final on Main ground

6.20 pm approx: presentations in front of pavilion.

Coloured clothing may be worn.

The League wish to thank the following:

O New sponsors Joseph Holt Brewery for their generosity in providing financial support for to-day’s event and also the 2nd and XI Finals Days later in the season. This backing enables the League to provide individual awards, prize money for the four competing teams, teas, umpires’ expenses and programmes.

O Upton Cricket Club for the use of their two grounds and other facilities. In particular, the club committee for their organisation, the ground-staff for preparing the pitches and the caterers.

O The Graham Family of Marple for the provision of the Fred Graham Memorial Trophy. The late Fred Graham’s son, Ron, has again travelled from his home in Spain to be present.

O The League Umpires & Scorers Association for providing umpires to cover the three matches.

O Cheshire County Cricket Club for the loan of the public address system operated by Jim Law.

THE AWARDS …..

O Winners of the Joseph Holt Brewery T20 will receive the Fred Graham Memorial Trophy;

O There will be a Man of the Match prize and a Holt Beer Award for the Best Moment

O To-day’s winners will qualify to represent the League in the ECB t20 Area Finals at Stone CC in Staffordshire on Sunday, August 2 against the T20 champions of North Staffs & South Cheshire League, Birmingham & District League and North Wales Premier League.

The winners there go on to the Regional finals on Sunday, August 16, followed by Grand Finals Day at the SWALEC Stadium, Cardiff on Tuesday, September 1 which will be televised live by Sky.

Should rain prevent the competition being concluded today discussions will be held between the organisers and teams to seek a resolution.

ADMISSION & PARKING IS FREE. ADDITIONAL FREE PARKIMG IS AVAILABLE AT THE NEARBY SAINSBURY’s, WHOSE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK NEED YOUR CAR NUMBER.
