Criteria:
· Candidate must be either a child or grandchild of a Fox Valley Traffic Club member in good standing. (someone active in group, not just paying dues.)
· Candidate must be enrolled in a Bachelor or Associate degree program as a full-time student.
· Candidate must be entering at least 2nd year, with a 2.50 or better GPA.
· Award check will be paid directly to school of choice.
· Students not eligible: Those receiving substantial support from an employer. Or on scholarship.
Things to Remember:
· The application postmark deadline June 1, 2013
· A 300 word original and current essay on accomplishments and goals should accompany this application.
· Attach a copy of 2012-2013 GRADES (actual transcript, not a projection)
· All information will be held in strict confidence.-

Vivian Huth Scholarship Program
Sponsored and Funded by the Fox Valley Traffic Club
Purpose:
· To advance education for members’ children and grandchildren.
· To promote membership in Fox Valley Traffic Club.
Funding:
· It is intended that this be a perpetual scholarship.
· $10,000 has been set aside specifically for the scholarship fund.
· The fund will be administered by the Community Foundation (this ensures that contributions to the fund are tax-deductible and protects the ongoing nature.)
· Financing of scholarships is based on estimated $500 per year interest and $1,000 per year income directly from Fox Valley Traffic Club.
· Expected awards: Three $1,000 scholarships per year.
· Tax deductible donations to Community Foundation are accepted.
Implementation:
1. Announcement will be made
2. Applications must be postmarked by June 1, 2013
3. “Member in Good Standing” is defined as someone whose dues are current, and who has attended at least two meetings in the previous year. Attendance is monitored via the bank deposits. (not as guest of someone )
4. There will be a blind judging. Names will be withheld from applications when they are distributed to the judges.
5. Judging will be done by a committee of 4 board members and by 1 member at large.
6. Committee members will independently choose winner.
7. Committee will be chaired by Traffic Club Secretary/Treasurer, who does not vote.
8. Award checks will be payable directly to the schools.
