Cut to the chase with the man behind the film magic
Well established film editor Mick Audsleywas always interested in film and only by lucky accident heended up in an “exciting place; where the power of filmmaking lies”.Straight from an editing room he brought pieces such asInterview with Vampire(1994), Twelve Monkeys(1995), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire(2005) and most recentMurder on the Orient Express(2017).After his graduation fromthe Royal College of Art where he started wandering around sound editing he has dedicated his life to cutting films. Later onhe became a key collaborator of the director Stephan Frearswith whom he has made more than 20 films together including notorious Dangerous Liasons(1988)and got awarded a BAFTA for editing The Snapper(1993). MoreoverTerry Gilliamalso relies on Audsley’s editing skills speaking of his work on Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus(2009)and latest The Zero Theorem (2013). He also worked on thePrince of Persia: The Sands of Timewhich is another blockbuster directed by Mike Newell.
