Nil.

Treasurer’s Report

Delivered by Bob Pullinger

Moved Bob Proudfoot, seconded Ken Buckley, carried.

Motions

Bayswood Playground That the VRRA ask Council for an “onsite meeting” with Bayswood residents and the VRRA committee, to discuss issues of poor drainage and lack of adequate facilities at the Bayswood playground.

Moved Dawn Thompson, seconded Claire Proudfoot, carried.

Green Waste The VRRA/CCB support in principle council's policy on Green Waste as outlined by John Wells at the last VRRA/CCB meeting. However that Council in addition to the normal tip vouchers, send with rate notices, an additional 4 'green waste tip vouchers' at a reduced weight of 150 kg to all ratepayers. This would encourage people to take green waste to the tip rather than place it into the red bins. Moved Jan Coogan, seconded Kenneth Buckley, carried.

Pittosporum Undulatum Reference is given to the last VRRA meeting held on the 20 August

2015. The Association strongly urge Council to have a programme on the eradication of

Pittosporum throughout the Vincentia Area. Moved Sandy Easterbrook, seconded Bob Pullinger, carried.

Pittosporum Undulatum Write to Council and ask that Pittosorum Undulatum be declared a noxious weed. Moved Les Hams, seconded Kenneth Buckley, carried.

Vincentia Shopping centre That the Association support in principle the modernization and refurbishment of the shopping centre and the Mall area. We also urge the SCC to upgrade the mall area, to include a disabled play area, a rope climbing area for children and screening of the area around the toilet block. Moved Roslyn Vickery, seconded Dawn Thompson, carried.

State of The Wool Road That the VRRA write to Council to complain about the appalling condition and surface of The Wool Road. Complaints of poor surface, long delays and poor management by the contractor must be addressed. Moved Dawn Thompson, seconded Claire Proudfoot, carried.

Refurbishment of gardens in Vincentia Mall That we write to SCC and acknowledge the great job done with the replanting and landscaping in the Vincentia Mall. Moved Peter Gaffey, seconded David Wagstaff, carried.

Visual effect of entry into Vincentia along Elizabeth Drive The VRRA/CCB request that the entry from Moona Moona Creek into Vincentia be put on Council’s works programme. This Area is in dire need of continuous kerb and guttering and all the road sealed. This section of road, from Moona Creek to the Burton Street roundabout (Elizabeth Drive), requires landscaping and beautification to give a visual welcome to visitors and residents to this important tourist destination.

Moved Sandy Easterbrook, seconded Tony Thompson, carried.

Council clean up round the Bay cycleway Council clean up round the Bay cycleway With the tourist season upon us, the VRRA calls on Shoalhaven City Council to increase the degree of vegetation maintenance adjacent to the 'round the bay cycleway'. In particular,

•the Collingwood Beach section needs even greater attention by removing the numerous tree vandalism signs which have served their purpose and now detract from the vista of the bay,

•removing dead vegetation and pruning vegetation encroaching on the cycle way and access ways. Moved Bob Proudfoot, seconded Dawn Thompson, carried.

General Business

A letter of thanks be sent to the Mayor for her instigation of the Mayor’s relief Fund, as its effect has found its way to needy residents who have suffered in the recent Shoalhaven Flood.

Moved Bob Pullinger, seconded Dawn Thompson, carried.

Meeting closed at 8.59pm.

Secretary, VRRA Inc
