The annual meeting of the Italian Society of Sciences of Tourism is one of the most important networking moment of the year for our Members.

The Scientific Committee encourages the wide partecipation of Members and asks them to produce useful contributions to inspirediscussions, comparisons and assessments on the state of research in the field of tourism and, more specifically, on the following topics:

  1. Economic crisis and tourism;
  2. Tourism and Sustainability in the islands and in protected areas;
  3. Tourism and ICT ( Information and Communication Technology);
  4. New tourism models;
  5. Sustainable and responsible tourism;
  6. Cultural tourism and territory;
  7. New perspective on research in tourism;
  8. Territory representation and tourist dynamics;
  9. Economics and management of tourism companies;
  10. The tourism system and the territorial organization of tourism;
  11. Destination Management.

SISTUR, welcomes submission of contributions on the topics above. However, the themes reported represent a non-exhaustive list of the topics and the submission of contributions on all tourism topics is encouraged as well.

The Scientific Committee will select the articles which will be published in the Rivista di Scienze del Turismo (published by LED, ISSN 2037-7908 Online - ISSN 2037-7916 Print).

FORMAT AND SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The format of the abstract should be as follows.

The entire abstract, including all headers (title of the paper, authors, Institute affiliation and e-mail address of all authors) should be no more of a single page in A4 format (minimum 800 characters including spaces, maximum 1500 characters including spaces).

Font to be used should be Times New Roman 12- point , in details:

  • Title should be centred, bold, capital letters, max 2 lines long;
  • Authors: centred, letters of the surnames should be capitalized;
  • Institution: centred, in the case of authors pertaining to different structures, use a numbering with superscripts: 1, 2, 3;
  • Email: in the same order of authors , centred, separated by commas
  • Text body justified.

Leave one blank line beetween the title of the abstract and the names of the authors and leave two blank lines between the email and the text of the abstract.
