Viewing a Section

This document explores techniques which may be used to view a section in a variety of ways.

Viewing Windows and Worksheets of a Section

n  There are various windows associated with a section. There is a window to show information about items in the section, another for shelves in the section, and even the planogram window itself. Each of these windows may be opened, closed, moved, maximized, and minimized.

n  You may switch from open window to open window by choosing the WINDOW menu, then choosing the window you wish to view.

n  The following steps will open a window for the current section that has been closed or not yet opened:

Steps / Result/Comment
1.  From the VIEW menu, choose OPEN… / The Open Window dialog box appears:

2.  Select the Window Type to be opened from the list on the left
3.  Press ENTER or click on OK / The desired window opens.

Using the Side and Top Views

·  A side view of the current planogram may be added to the front view. This allows you to check packout at any point on the planogram.

Steps / Result/Comment
1.  Click on the Cross Section tool on the planogram toolbox to begin the process /
2.  With the Cross Section tool selected, click on the planogram where the cross section view is desired
3.  Choose VIEW / OPEN.. from the menus
4.  Select the Side View Planogram option and press ENTER or click on OK to complete the process / The side view of the planogram appears. Clicking on other areas of the main planogram window while the Cross Section tool is selected will change the side view accordingly.

Using SKU, Box, Symbol, and Vivid Views

SKU mode displays each position as a colored box. Individual facings are combined in this view.

Box mode displays each facing of a product with a colored box.

Symbol mode displays each facing of a product with an outline of its shape.

The VIVID mode displays the products on the planogram as scanned images. Products not displaying an image do not have pictures to represent them. This mode will take a few seconds to load.

Using the Zoom Buttons

·  You can use the zoom tools located on the planogram toolbox to enlarge part of the planogram for closer viewing. To zoom into a selected section of the planogram:

Steps / Result/Comment
1.  Click on the Zoom tool to start the process / The mouse pointer changes to a magnifying glass
2.  Drag a box around the section of the planogram window you want to zoom in on / The planogram windows enlarges the area of the planogram within the area you indicate.

The Zoom Out button zooms the view away from the planogram in 50% increments.

The Zoom All button returns to the normal view of the entire planogram.

Viewing Products with Item and Shelf Labels

·  Information about the products and shelves may be displayed on the planogram, either on the screen, for printing purposes, or both.

Steps / Result/Comment
1.  Choose the PLANOGRAM / LABELS... option from the menus / The Planogram Options dialog box appears:
2.  Select Product labels, Shelf labels, or both for Screen labels
3.  Click on the Select Labels button to configure the content of the Product Labels / The Product Label dialog box appears.
4.  Select an option, then click on the Add Field button / Any existing labels in the box could be deleted by selecting them and pressing DELETE.
5.  Click on OK or press ENTER to complete the Product Labels
6.  Now select the Shelf Label tab and the Select Labels button to configure the Shelf lengths / The Shelf Label dialog box appears:

7.  Select the desired fields, then click on the Add Field button
8.  Click on OK when you are finished / You are returned to the Planogram Options dialog box.
9.  Configure any other options for the display of product and shelf labels / When in this dialog box, click on the Help button for details on all of the available options.
10.  Click on OK or press ENTER when you are finished. / The desired labels will now be displayed and or printed.

  Note: Saving the section after completing these steps will save the labeling you have configured.

Using the Planogram Ruler

·  Rulers may be turned on in the planogram window. This feature helps with the placement of products on the shelves.

Choose the TOOLS / RULER option from the menus to toggle the screen rulers on/off.

Configuring VIVID Images

The following steps will configure the VIVID images feature in Apollo. These steps assume that you are using the images stored on a CD.

Steps / Result/Comment
1.  From the Apollo menus, choose FILE / SETUP… / The setup dialog box appears.
2.  Click on the Image Options tab
3.  Click on the Paths button / The VIVID Setup dialog box appears.
4.  Click on the Search button / The Search Paths dialog box appears.
5.  From the Drives list, select the drive where the CD is located / The entire CD is searched for available folders containing the images to be used. This may take a few minutes.
6.  When the Search Paths dialog box returns, click on Select All, then on OK
7.  Close the VIVID Setup dialog box
8.  Close the Setup dialog box by clicking on OK / The VIVID images are now read to use on any planogram.

Note: The CD must be in the CD ROM drive whenever you wish to use the VIVID images.
